S. Africa is always great to bet local guys. The greens and chipping take specialization. So you want Lawrence. You also want Bekker (200-1) who is in good form and has played here.
The guys at the top of the odds board are in top notch form, so odds less than 10-1. That is Reed, Ayora, and Schaper. Guys, this isn't McIlroy (who was 13-1 last week). The field is enormous. New course for most of these guys. These odds are too short! But there are better odds available.
At 45-1, choose from Luiten, Armitage, Bradbury, Couvra, Stone, Krusiwk, A Fitzpatrick, or Gurrier.
Lawerence is 31-1. Fritteli is 130-1.
At long odds, Gumberg is 250-1, R Williams is 325-1, Bekker is 200-1, Nienaber is 165-1, and for some reason one Van or another is always at the top of the board at this time of year. Choose from van tonder, van velzen, or van driel, all at along odds.
Scrivener, Otagui, Girrbach. Kruiswjk, have odds in 50s - 70s. Love these picks.
Who is in good form? Besides the low odds guys, Stone, Armitage, Nienaber, Hillier, Hurrier, Fritteli, Otagui, Kruswjk, Gergusin, Luiten, Bradbury, van Driel, Bekker, Couvra, Lawrence, and van tonder are in good form.
Of course Jarvis, Schaper, Ayora, and Reed in excellent form: watch out!
