as you said, Thomas Aiken been "wicked close" his last four and would have made the playoff last week @ Qatar IF he hadn't "rimmed" his birdie put on #18. would NOT hurt to "sprinkle" on his "to win" this week @ 30-1

gotta feel for Tiger BUT I hope he WD's to get my "CUT" money and a match play
anyone else see Ty Hatton "play hockey" on #9 (his 18th) the 1st round ??? he misses his birdie putt, loses his cool and JAMS his tap in for par. ball spins out and THEN he MISSES the bogie and ends up with a double. total LACK of concentration from temper and ends up [even] for the round
AND once again a "long shot" I played @ Qatar, David Lipsky, I passed on this tourney @ 125-1 because he didn't do jack last week. sure as hell he shoots [-5] 1st round. the GOOD news is one of my 125-1 shots Nacho Elvira also in the group tied for 4th @ [-5]
IF the wind is going to be blowing like Scotland you would THINK the players that did well @ Qatar last week would do well here

The 1st round afternoon wave continue to take it up the arse!
They played 2nd round this morning in 30 mph winds and then the guys who had the pristine morning conditions round 1 played a few holes in the desert storm (sand blowing everywhere/palm trees swaying bigtime) and play was suspended due to high dangerous winds!
So those players will get the luxury of playing tomorrow morning when it will be sunny and light wind, after playing in perfect conditions day 1!
How is that for Aiken v Pieters? Not fair that's how it is.
Aiken finished round 2 at Even par (T48) which is pretty good considering his playing conditions and hopefully will make the cut which he would make right now but scores will be low tomorrow.
Pieters also at Even par (6) but must still finish round 2.
If he'd have finished round 2 I'm pretty sure he would've missed cut

what I can NOT understand is players like Wang, Van Zyl and Aphibarnrat ALL play WELL in the wind @ Qatar last week BUT end up CUTS with 2nd round "blow ups" this week. my boy Wang had only missed the cut once his last 9 tourneys (@ Hong Kong) and WON last week.
I guess the Euros are just as inconsistent as the PGA "pampered poodles"
