DeChambeau & Draftkings

Lost a wager due to some obscure rule at Draftkings.  They graded DeChambeau’s round yesterday as a minus 4, not minus 2 like every other leaderboard in the world.

Can anyone tell me if this makes any sense?  Here is their explanation:

“I understand your concern as I would feel the same way. 

After review, I can confirm this bet is settled correctly. Our house rules state the following:

For four hours after the applicable round of a tournament has Concluded, bets may be re-settled for any subsequent statistic changes to correct a score reporting error in the official statistics for that round. Bets will not be re-settled due to any penalties, disqualifications, or other rulings after the initial settlement even if such situations occur within four hours after the applicable round of a tournament has Concluded. However, all bets that have not yet been settled will be settled to include any penalties (including, but not limited to, a shot clock penalty), disqualifications, or other rulings assessed prior to the bet being settled.”

They scored it by final round results.Now he needs to win.

 Not for me, unfortunately.  They scored it at minus 4.  Their support haven’t been helpful explaining the logic behind their decision.

 DraftKings small print rule says they won’t reverse any wager they decide to settle before the ruling of a penalty.  Makes no sense, what a silly rule. Cost me a nice ticket.  Probably won’t happen very often but good that DK nation knows this esoteric “ruling”.
