yea, teabag... i have spent the last 30 min trying to bet on the Pats and i can't... gonna lay off... anytime i can make a case for both sides, i know the best bet is not to bet... on paper, it should be the Pats, but Colts play with more heart than anyone, and you can't count them out...

i already have SD, but looking for another game... thinking about Cleveland, still getting no respect... or maybe Jax/NO under... nothing jumps out at me this week...

    except the Celtics... hehe...

I'm not at all, I prefer it.  This way my kids get to watch it, and I can get to sleep at a reasonable hour.  The only thing I'm bothered by is this is the day we turn our clocks back -- the game can come around soon enough.

    My two plays are:
    Pats -5.5 - two units
    Teaser: Pats +0.5 / Over 50.5 - two units

Good luck to all the Patriot backers...

Wow!!! I think my eyes are bleeding from reading this thread!

Okay, Pats win and cover and it will be as simple as that.  Too much talent on the field in this game but the numbers favor Brady & co. I hate betting against Manning but just like a rectal examination, it has to be done.

GoG, I agree that Ugoh being out could be a huge difference. However I really don't get why you are saying the same thing about Harrison.  He caught one TD pass on the very first drive of the year, and none since.  He DNP'd two games which the Colts both won handily, and caught one ball v. Denver.  He is hardly their go-to guy this year.  Yes it would be nice to have him, and I am not dissing Marvin... he just has not produced much at all this year.

GoG and Teabag, nice to see you come around to the Dark Side!  LOL.
Feeling a little more comfortable thanks to the injuries, I went heavy on the over and the Pats first half -3 this morning, I'm a sucker.

Someone should research further Tom Brady's career record in dome stadiums. Yes, they're are but two remaining (moving roofs excluded). Yet, Brady is somewhere near as terrible as Brett Favre when playing in domes.
That, and most everyone IS forgetting just what a '12th Man' the Indianapolis crowd has become since Dungy has been there.
The Colts won't miss much of Marvin Harrison in this one.
Despite they're lacking depth at the WR position, and a shaky offensive tackle spot, I STILL like their chances. One of these power trains needs to be derailed, and I've been more impressed with the ilk that Indy has beaten, than that of the Pats (save for say, Dallas - that was indeed a whoopin').
Such a shame that it's two AFC teams again that are creme of the crop. If only the NFL could structure Super Bowl pairings differently this season! NFC is lookin' rough...
This will go as an under, and I'll have the Colts on the moneyline.
Here begins my hex/jinx by making mention of it here:

    Colts 27 Patriots 17

Really?  Tom Brady is terrible in domes?  Thankfully somebody did notice this before me.  Just another case of somebody trying to sound smart without actually knowing the facts.  Here we go with one...Peyton Manning sucks at 4:15 games on November 4th...so I'm taking the Pats.  Please people, give some actual information that has truth.  Here in New England, a radio show had a few Colts fans call in and give their opinions of the game, and they said flat out that the radio shows in Indy have had a majority of people calling in and saying that they did not believe this Colts team could keep up with the Pats.  That is pretty good to hear.  As I said earlier...you just can't get off the success train yet...take the PATS -6 AND THE OVER 57.  Even though I can't believe it's at 57.

    Pats 38

    Indy 24

Tolstoy would be hard pressed to write less about this game.

Colts LT Ugoh suspect, Harrison out.

Pats Moss/ Welker/ Adalius Thomas added to a team that was up by 18 points in playoffs vs. Colts last year and eventually lost. Pats are going to take care of unfinished business.

Denver.  He is hardly their go-to guy this year.  Yes it would be nice to have him, and I am not dissing Marvin... he just has not produced much at all this year.

Danstyk... i don't know how long you've been watching football, or if you have particularly followed the Colts... first of all, Marvin has a history of starting off slow... but he is money in big games, as i'm sure all Colts fans are aware... also, what he has done so far doesn't matter... the Colts are good enough they haven't needed to ride him... but this is a game they need him to create the matchup problems they want... i posted a very lengthy write-up on this a couple days ago... missing him is definitely huge... they won't be able to force NE into the nickel situation that they want, which is where they are very suspect... if they do want to force that matchup, they have to now do it with Moorehead instead of Marvin, and that is a big dropoff...

thank god i didn't bet the under on the Jags game... starting to think the under in the 2nd half is a great bet... but i will still stay away...

Too many people taking Pats, you know what that means. Hence Ohio State v Florida USC v Texas so on and so on. Vegas has those buildings for a reason. They are just trying to break even on this game.

watching two of the Pats supposedly more impressive opponents this year get handled against the Vikings and Jets, two not very impressive teams...

Ugoh and Harrison are definitely out... and it pisses me off, cuz this would be such a great ML bet... but i just can't bet it... even though i'm still tempted even now...

the other part of Harrison being out that i didn't mention is that Samuel would usually match up with him, leaving Wayne in a mismatch... now Samuel will be on Wayne and there is no mismatch...

    two very unfortunate injuries...

    Watson vs Clark
    Moss vs Wayne
    Addai vs Breschi and Grabel
    Manning vs Brady

Too close to call. I like Pats at the half and Indy to cover if not win.

You always have to disrespect, don't you?  "i don't know how long you've been watching football..."  Probably longer than you've been alive, not that it matters.  Interesting how you are changing your tune now.  Just don't use injuries as an excuse later on, because the players don't, and good cappers don't either.  The Pats injury list was quite long in the AFC CG last year, and they have injuries today.  Harrison has missed the last 3 games the teams have played.  Seymour just came back last week and had 0 tackles in 22 plays.

Of course I know the value Marvin brings.  But he is more than starting slow... he's hardly been there for them.  The Colts have won without him and could still win without him.  Why would anyone bet on a team knowing a key player has got a bad knee, if they really thought that player is absolutely crucial?  This is not a new injury.
