1) the fact that they will be without Harrison and Gonzalez, and Clark may or may not play, but if he does might not be 100%...
2) everybody and their mother likes the Colts, but it's still at 3...
i definitely think the Chargers are a pretender of a team... but they have played well at home, and will probably give a pretty good effort... even with that, i would still bet the Colts if they weren't so banged up...
gotta find other bets, damnit!

2 things got me backing off the Colts...

djaconi does bring up one good point... this game pits arguably the biggest coaching disparity in the NFL in Dungy vs. Turner... that tends to be a wise play, even despite the injuries...
and the Colts have shown that they can compete with anyone (and blow out bad teams) even when banged up... they blew out TB earlier this year using their practice squad...

You look at Tomlinson vs. Addai, and obviously LT gets the major advantage. The Colts got punched in the face last week and I think it will take one more loss before they bounce back. Last week was the game of the year for them, and I don't think they have healed from it yet.
If you want a real huge advantage at a key position, take a peek at Manning vs Rivers.
The Colts got punched in the face? They basically blew the game against a supposedly invinvible team and showed that the Pats are human after all. If anything they'd be pissed about giving that one away. But, this is the NFL, not college. They are professionals. There aren't hangovers from "emotional" wins/losses. The Colts are clearly one of the most professional teams in the league. No player prepares harder than Peyton Manning. Yeah the Colts have some injuries, but you act like just because they played New England last week they physically won't be ready to play this week. I am pretty sure these guys are used to playing once every 7 days and can handle it.

Colts -3.5 (2 units) vs. Chargers - the Colts will come back to their winning ways after their first loss last week. It will be interesting to see how they handle this game, personally I think they come out throwing a ton as Manning wants to make a statement. Both teams have great offenses, and pretty good defenses, and both usually have a lot of big plays for TDs. That's why I'll also go with the over 47.5 (2 units).

Both D's will be focused on stopping the run. Colts D are also looking at doing a better job at closing out leads and not let any team beat them late in the game. I expect the Colts defense to definitely step up and let Manning do what he does. Manning vs. Rivers... c'mon.

Wasn't going to touch this game but started to get bored cause I only played on the morning games and went 2-1-1 today so I've got a little breathing room.
Looked at the total on this one only because I seen the Colts Wr's banged up and thought the total was kind of high.
But looked at the numbers and took into factors of the Colts WR's being out and still came out with the edge on the over.
Both teams coming off losses and although the Colts had control of most of the NE game only to lose in the end Peyton did not look at sharp as he normally does.
I'm looking for both teams to bounce back in this game and wishing for a high scoring game.
Colts/Bolts over 48.5
Aloha and good luck to all

This is a MUST WIN for Indy or Tenn will be tied with them (Providing Tenn beats Jacs). Indy will not loose 2 in a row. Besides SD just got their Ass KICKED by Minn, and Indy is by far a better team than Minn. Love Indy to cover.
In the NFL that kind of thinking will kill ya.

I think it will be a close game...chargers will be winning in first half. Chargers are pumped tonight,....quick start. If the colts are losing in first half I will take the colts second half.

The lack of line movement makes me nervous. Jumped on ARZ last minute as the line was going the wrong way and they are dominating DET. Gotta think some more on this one.

Is there anyway that this game is won by a field goal? Indy hasn't won by that small of a margin all season except in Tennessee(and that was less than a field goal). Although they struggled in Houston, Tennessee is the only game they have played this season where they have won by less than a field goal. They are beating opponents by an average of 17.5pts a game. Sooooo.....the line isn't budging (not much any way it's still the same at my book) but everyone is on Indy. In the games between these two the underdog has the ATS advantage and the Colts don't play so well historically in Quallcomm ATS. I normally ignore these trends as teams are composed different each year, but the fact the the line is frozen has me leaning towards SD. Injuries to the Colts don't help convince me that Indy is the play. Still not sure, but leaning SD + the points or maybe a teaser w/ SD and the under.
