New Orleans -4, because they are the better team and the better team always wins in a 7 game series, right? Too athletic and will get better bench play in this game.

All I can say is FUCK CLEVELAND! But this could be the game of the year in my book. It will be great drama with the reigning champs on the road against an up and coming young but solid squad. This young squad has shown no fear so far, but how will they respond IN THE CRUNCH. All I have seen on chris Paul's face since game 3, has been that of confusion and frustration. I Don't see him handling the pressure of the moment and the spurs guards. Everyone on his team will be looking to him, and I'm not sure he's ready for it. No play on the game, just my 2 pennies. Will be a great game to watch. enjoy all.

I have to go Spurs ML here and as much as I want to think it won't go over 182.5, it probably will..... I starred in that movie Friday when I went with the Jazz -4... I won't make that mistake on this one.... The grizzled vets come through(I think and hope)....

New Orleans has no idea what they are in for. The spurs are the "Best" team in this series. New Orleans does not have the grey hairs to beat the spurs, that will left to the Lakers and Kobe.
Spus will blow them out in the 2nd half......
Spurs +4/ml BIG BIG BIGEST BET of the year

Careful there with that logic... nobody on the spurs has that killer instinct like kobe. that is something only jordan would have done with game 6 road closeouts and that's something the lakers have done a few times against teams with the best home records in the league (see sacramento 2001, 2002), but we (lakers) took one from utah earlier this year, unlike the spurs who are playing a team that I think is the best equiped to stand up to the lakers. Also, the lakers played the jazz tougher and tougher with each visit to utah, so it was kind of like a improving trend. San antonio has shown that they cannot stay in a game for more than 26 minutes and, provided west is fine, that's not going to change just because it's game 7. New orleans may lean a bit too much on their depth, but it comes alive at home and will be too much for SA here. as of now, I'm all systems go on the new orleans home engine.
NO -4 (big) NO pts over SA pts over and double bet on "SA 1st half, NO game".
(smaller plays on the last 3)

I am taking Detroit for that series the second the line opens...
CLE is an average team with one amazing player and they let them hang around for 7 games....than worse than that they cant even fuckin cover the 8 in that game 7!
Anyone see Ray Allen? Anyone? Bueller?

I liked the Celtics until the playoffs started.

SAN ANTONIO SPURS +4 Something has to give here, in this round of the playoffs, winning on the road! I will take my chances with the more experienced team in a game 7 must win playoff situation... Count it!

I think we're about to see a changing of the guard.
I know the Spurs are the champs and they're gonna' play all out, but you look at the stats. from the last 4 games these teams played in this building and I can't see how you don't bet New Orleans.
What this says to me is that San Antonio routinely gets outhustled, makes more mistakes, and shoots with MUCH less confidence in New Orleans.
Look at that 3 point percentage. And as a general rule they've had to jack up way more 3's in this series, which in my mind, is NOT good -and I know our good ol' gambling buddy Charles Barkley would agree with me.
(How do you forget that you owe $400,000 to the Wynn?!? You gotta' love that guy.)
Another stat. that stood out, is that San Antonio won a regular season game over New Orleans by single digits at home by shooting 100% from the free-throw line, otherwise they would've lost the regular season series 3-1.
Despite the fact that the champs have their backs against the wall, they haven't shown that they can even be competitive in that building down the stretch, and the younger Hornets are going to be just as fired up for this game.
Besides, they've also got the other MVP now don't they . . . ?
Hornets -4

Oh, one other thing and this is big for you cats and kittens that like to bet the Halftime spreads:
San Antonio actually has held the edge in that stat in New Orleans, 45 to 44.74, so be careful.
And I wouldn't be surprised if that trend holds since if you expect them to give the Hornets their best shot in the 1st half and then wear out down the stretch.

Actually w8lifter I'm going to agree with you on this one as of now. Pretty much for the same exact reasons. So far it's just an early lean, but none the less my early pick is Spurs +4. Still looking at it further.

I see this game being decided within 1-5 points. Hard to predict a close game when every single game in this series has been a home team blowout. But that is my prediction. If a team runs away with this game, i think it will be the Spurs. Hornets are a young team, their core players have never been in this situation before. Spurs showed last game that when they are in a must win game, they always defend. The play good team defence. Well coached, call it for what it is, but this team always finds a way to buckle down defensively. This is a do or die game, the Spurs know what it takes to win these games. I feel that the Hornets will definately show up in this game, but i do not feel as though they will be 5 points better than the Spurs.
