Lakers are a LOCK!  There injuries are insignificant going against a Houstonless Tmac and Artest.

If the Lake Show is such a "lock" why in the hell is the line only 4??

the same reason the Blazers were a lock last night with a measley 2.5 spread, the Lake show has only lost 6 games all year, you really think they're going to drop one to Houston without Tmac & Artest? Houston has also one 4 game winning streak all year and that's a full health against mediocore teams. Take the Lakeshow and leaning towards the under.....

its cause smart betters have realized that lakers dont cover really big spreads too much, fyi they have dropped their past 4 ats and thats because they were 7 9 11 and 14, i took the 11 and 14 points. I mean even now the stupid public doesn't even realize that the lakers go into a slump in the 4th and they let a lot of teams come back. But 4 could be just enough for them get the ats cover

lakers are 16-20 ats and you have to know when to take em and when not too

byw nox if they lost to SAC by 12 im sure they can lose this game easily, is it likely no, but NOTHING is a lock there are a play of the day, some people call it a " gift" just letting you know. the blazers were my pod yesterday

one more thing now take a look at all those injuries, lamar odem sasha, and KOBE BRYANT and were wondering why this line is so LOW. If kobe doesn't play this game might be pretty even who knows game time decision

Kobe has a cut on his eye, he's playing, 4 pts is basically a pick-em in hoops, my version of "LOCK" is your POD, obviously no pick is a 100%, lines like this happen in hoops from time to time and you have to jump on it, you would have to agree that the Lakers have at least an 80% chance of winning this game which would mean they'd most likely cover, just don't see them losing to a deepleted Rocket team, too much offense on the lakers for the houston to match

I agree taking HOU for a very small play just for sh*ts and giggles. Going to expect my other/real plays come in HOU +4

Lakers are Injured to. Lets See if Odom plays today...To me this is a Trap game...liking houston.

its not a trap game..the lakers tend not to cover the big spreads, 11-15 ect... but they do tend to cover the small spreads...ex -1 to boston, -3 to new orleans, -3 suns....-4 to the rockets tonite, the rockets r injured the only reason the line is 4 is bc its at houston, if this was in la it would be 11 or so...lakers prolly win this about 98-90

any news on artest?  is he definitely out?  i'm leaning towards the lakers in this spot.  they can cover the small number.  anything larger and i'd think otherwise.

This is a tough one to call because as depleted as houston may be, LA is basically - benchless . . . especially now that Sasha is out.

We're gonna' see some friggin' Sun-Yu tonight, which could be an adventure.

And Kobe and Derek Fisher each playing about 45 minutes.

I suppose if you like Kobe Bryant vs. Houston, you'll like the Lakers in this one.  And why not really?  Gasol is still healthy, as is Bynum. And Josh Powell has been putting in some admirable minutes off the bench.

I agree it's not really a trap game.  Too many injuries on either side.

Just take who like.

For me . . . it's Kobe Bryant 

and the LA Nicholson's

Yeah, Colonel Jim I'm taking the Money Line on this one.

And by the way, it looks like Lamar Odom is going to try and play.  He was shooting and moving around during warm-ups and told John Ireland (the sideline announcer for the Laker broadcast) that he feels pretty good.  It's all about his pain tolerance threshold.

Lamar's participation is especially important because he's probably the only Laker who can play all 5 positions.

LA missing Odem, Sasha, Farmar, Walton 

LA might play Yue, for the battle of China

Bynum vs Ming, Gasol vs Scola, Kobe vs ? Von Wafer ? Alston

Kobe is the miss match for Hou, he should be able to give LA a win.

Hou barely beat OK Thunder with McGrady a week ago.
