Like I said yesterday, its all about VALUE.  Yes, the Pedro is old.  Yes, the Yankees are home.  Yes, the Yankees n-e-e-e-e-d this game.  Yes, the Yankees should win.  But stuff happens and I'm not digging a hole with the -200 bombers and hoping I can climb out.

I can take Philly small, get paid decently if they win and write it off if the lose.  It's not about who should win, its about who provides the best value with the odds.

But don't let me stop youse Yankee fans.  Keep piling on and driving the price down on the Phils.  Thanks.

Pedro is in NY in Oct. He hasn't pitched in Oct. since 2004. With the cold weather and burnett on the mound, i tend to think this will be an over 9 game. neither pitcher will keep these bats under 4 runs a piece for 9 innings. gl.

Ummm, how many times has A-Fraud made the Word Series before this year (with any team).  That would be ZERO.

His playoff stats since coming to the Yankees...

G HR RBI  Avg Out In
    2004 11  3  8  .320 ALCS
    2005  5  0  0  .133 ALDS
    2006  4  0  0  .071 ALDS
    2007  4  1  1  .267 ALDS
    2008
    2009 10  5 12  .389 ??

A couple of good years and some real stinkers.  From the highest paid player in MLB?  Even the Yankee fans were booing him at the beginning of the year.

Yes, he's been hot this October, but he has a track record of total, 100% failure in the post-season.  So "before you make a total fool out of yourself", try having a memory that is longer than two weeks.

Duh (good name), me thinks thou dost protest too much.  If it walks like a Yankee fan and talks like a Ynakee fan...

To use your logic, Mr. BusinessMan, I should buy any stock that has gone up in the last two weeks.  Looking at history or past performance is pointless.  Just give me the stocks that are on fire.

Yes, you can have the last word - I won't respond again.  I'm not going to waste my time arguing with someone who can't even find the CapsLock key on their computer.

Ya i was gonna say, no one embarrassed themselves, A_ROD is a fraud. Wow he had two great series, but now is when all the marbles are on the table, way to start your home opener in the World Series by going 0-4 with 3 K's...until he produces in the "big" game he will be known as a playoff bust.    Taking Phillies again tonite!

For the past two years the Phils have done nothing but destroy everyone in their way. This series is over Nov. 1st I think. The defending champs keep Yankee fans silent again. +180 .

I can take Philly small, get paid decently if they win and write it off if the lose.  It's not about who should win, its about who provides the best value with the odds.

But don't let me stop youse Yankee fans.  Keep piling on and driving the price down on the Phils.  Thanks.

Couldn't agree more. Lee was an excellent value at +153 last night and Pedro is a great value at +170 tonight.

Pedro gets rocked, by not only the crowd but the bats.

Lee is the only worry for he yankees, and 2nd time around, the bombers adjust and make him work.

But, I will give credit to where it is due... Hats off Cliff, well done, but the yankees will still take this series

Last night WAS "the 2nd time around".  Lee delivered NYY a loss at Yankee stadium at the beginning of the season, while still playing for the Indians (C.C. started for NYY in that game too).

This is also a Round Two situation for the Phils and Yanks, as Philly visited NYY in inter-league play and WON that 3-game series (C.C. pitched the rubber-match and LOST).

The Yanks can't beat Lee.  Tonight's game will only decide whether the DEFENDING CHAMPION Phillies take this series in 5 games or 6.

I hope the Yanks can scare up a win tonight.  They got SWEPT by the Marlins in 2003.

The Squares are hammering Philly and Over tonight.  That makes the Yankees and Under the play.

Philly it's nice to see a Homer supporting his team, but there is a good chance you lose everyone of those bets tonight.  I think the Phillies take this in 7, but the home team prevails tonight.

True that, and I could also win every single one.  I've been bettin baseball since spring training, this is a value play more than a homer play.

Observations on Game 1: Utley was vintage Wade Boggs.  Foul foul foul ball foul etc HIT.  Problem: hitters behind him assumed they could take CC downtown w/o effort, and overswung.  Looked foolish.  Lee had the pitches of Carlton on crack.  NY hitters (cept Jeter) new to the Big Dance and swung accordingly.  Error in 9th lost Lee a SO.  That sloppy fielding has been Philly’s major weakness this year.  The line on NY is huge.  So huge it gives me pause, even though some Philly $$ has come in.  Can see this being 2-2 in the 8th, probably because everyone else seems to think otherwise.  Did not see signs of major offensive effort from either team last night.  Bottom line: Philly does everything to win tight one but loses it late with key error.

Very true, I agree that all of the value is on Philly catching 180 tonight, the two factors that lead me to believe the Yanks win this one is the Reverse line movement and the home team down 1-0 in a 7 game series.  Very high percentage play here on the Yanks along with the Reverse line movement.
