It was your SB Bet pool..if you feel in all conscience,that the Bet was payed-up as you stated ..so be it ..

But I'm sure.. that I'm not the only one-of the 14/15 members- that signed up to your Covers Political Posters Super Bowl Bet..that thought, that ( the poster who makes the worst prediction start a thread saying 5 reasons to vote for the candidate he or she likes the least) was a Bet and the pay-off to the non-losers was 5 sincere reasons and not disingenuous satirical mockery of the candidate..

Slim, I'm trying to be a politician here.  If you are upset with Rick's answers, then fine, you had your say,but what can I do to Rick?  I actually like this forum because almost all points of view are represented.

And when I first came aboard, I didnt understand Rick at all, but actually the points he has made, you  slim, disco, don have all had an impact on my thinking.  And there are many others who's opinion I take into consideration.

I don't think this forum is a mockery because many of us participated in the SB but for fun, and for some pride.  And most of you congratulated a guy whom you disagree with the most. 

Anyways, i'm looking forward to the next one, but have fun and dont take it all so serious.

I didn't say anything about "what a mockery the politics section has become''..He did .. I said mockery of the candidate.,big difference.

So if you are telling me those things qualify as nice to you ..I'm only saying..I disagree..

Sarasota, I'll be honest with you, I really didn't know HOW serious ANYBODY would have done,  I thought to myself  "If I lose, I'm going to say 4 nice things about Romney and the 5th one would be sarcastic."  I expected that you would throw in a sarcastic barb about Obama too and I wasn't going to complain.

But to prove you had 5 really nice things to say about B Hussein Obama, I, the posters here and the rest of the world are curious.  What were they?

Promark12, I don't have to prove anything ..I didn't lose... and if you are going to change it to 5 nice    things to say... instead of the original 5 reasons to vote for that person...I would not have participated in the contest to begin with ...

Saying something nice about someone is not the same as stating a reason to vote for them [as Rick did in post # 15].....unless you are like NYTimes David Brooks who said he was looking at then-Sen. Barack Obama’s crisp pant crease during a meeting when he realized Obama would be president..

Nice crease in his trousers = Next President of the United States..

I was thinking of running a contest, just for fun, once a month.  It would be on the first of the month at 9 pm eastern.  How it work:  I would ask 20 political tivia questions, one at a time.  Whoever is the first to answer the question right gets, whoever gets the most right wins.
