 Good points.   Many Americans don't have passports.  Many of those same people (esp seniors and young voters) don't drive so do not have a driver's license.  And many don't have their birth cert from like 65 - 90 years ago!  Furthermore, the government already has proof on file on all voters who at some point in their life had registered to vote.  THAT is proof enough.  Illegals of course can not vote nor would any risk lengthy prison sentences to cast a vote...It's stupid to believe hundreds of thousands across the country would take that risk.

Republicans have really tried to rig elections by undermining public trust, suppressing legitimate votes and reducing access to voting.  For examples, gerrymandering, voter id, voter intimidation, vote buying  disinformation and deleting registered voters.

Risky for Trump administration to allow expiration of treaty with Russia limiting nuclear weapons.  World would be less safe if countries engage in arms race and conduct nuclear tests.  There are already enough nuclear weapons to destroy the world.

Trump regime relaxes limits on toxic air pollutants

The Environmental Protection Agency on Friday weakened limits on mercury and other toxic emissions from coal-fired power plants.
The announcement was made at a large coal plant in red state Kentucky.

People that make excuses or say that voters are being suppressed really are stretching it. So many things to be a human require proof of identification, however people think it is unfavorable for it to be provided for voting purposes. Makes no sense at all. If one wishes to vote and does not have identification there are so many ways that identification can be obtained and the beauty of it is that any voter knows exactly when they need to obtain this identification well ahead of time. So, this is an excuse and nothing else. If you are lobbying for providing no identification to vote then you are the problem and the exact reason why it should be a requirement. Should be nothing wrong for a legal citizen to provide proof of who they say they are in order to participate in a vote. Give it a break already, as this is not impeding anyone and if you say it is then you are enabling and not worried about the integrity of the voting process, so what are you hiding?   

People just cant show up at a polling place and cast votes. They have to already be registered to vote. I have no problem showing my license when i show up to vote. If a person is registered to vote they have had to already show proof of who they are, so showing license shouldnt be a problem.

Republicans and magas think this will make them win every election then, lollllllllll. Just look at the few cases of fraud they have found in elections, its been magas and republicans. Cheaters are always looking for new ways, right maga

By limiting number of acceptable documents proving citizenship, SAVE act is more restrictive than voting ID laws in every state except Ohio.  For example, no student photo ID.  Brennan center estimates over 21 million citizens (9% if voters) lack proof of citizenship.  In the past, courts strike down voting ID laws that discriminate against minorities.  Voter suppression is a far greater problem than very rare voting fraud.

When you know that an ID is required for an Abortion, Welfare and Food Stamp Applications, Driving, car rental, car loan, bank loan, property rental, property purchase, Quad or Trike rental or purchase, Airline travel, alcohol/Tabaco purchases, but state that people will be disenfranchised from voting because they just can't get an ID.... You're a Liberal

Plus, government agencies already have on file all registered voters.   Those ALREADY registered should not have to provide multiple papers to the MAGA Gestapo/REICH any further....already done and previously approved!

NEW voters who are not yet registered however, should have to provide all relevent documents to prove age, residence and citizenship -- but allowances MUST BE MADE for those whose last name now does not match birth cert (ie, married women!!!!!!!)

Voting fraud is very rare.  Claims about dead people voting are often overblown.  In some cases, small number of people died in period between when they mail ballot and election day.  More common is clerical error such as confusing two people with similar name.

 In the 2 states I live in Nj you need theses which I fine with !

• You are a citizen of the United States. 
• You a resident of New Jersey.
• You are at least 18 years of age on Election Day. 

In SC you need a photo identification or If you do not have one of the photo IDs listed above, you can vote by signing a reasonable impediment statement.

A “reasonable impediment” is something you can’t control that stops you from getting an accepted photo ID. 

South Carolina accepts the following reasons:

• lack of transportation
• lack of birth certificate (or other necessary documents)
• disability or illness
• conflict with your work schedule
• family responsibilities
• religious objection to being photographed
• any other obstacle you find reasonable      For a state that is considered strictl what’s the difference?  Down south foe older poor folk lack a birth certificate at a higher percentage than one might think!
