Corporations can regulate themselves.




HORSE MEAT LASAGNA


Britain’s horsemeat lasagne food scare spread to several other European countries on Friday as officials said they suspected criminal activity was behind the growing scandal.

Swedish food giant Findus withdrew various frozen meals from France and Sweden, a day after withdrawing frozen beef lasagne from sale in Britain that was found to contain up to 100 perecent equine flesh.

I dont know what the problem is...

what we see is that when it comes to blindly supporting corporations and the rich people are willing to swallow what ever tripe their given...

I am sure with some "trickle down" Spin there will be those lining up to eat it... I mean if eating horse meat will save the economy by having corporations make more profit, shouldnt we all be for this?

Isnt that the solution?

Fun fact about horsemeat. Regardless of the age of the horse it doesn't get tough unlike beef.And that's not from personal experience.

Could you imagine if chick-FIL-a sold it as "hetero-horse burgers"?

The line of lemmings would be out the door... And you couldn't tell the difference between the Westboro folk and those that simply side with them politically...

We need regulations for sure.
How many and what roles and power they have is another issue.
FDA is indeed a good one. There are prob cases that they too have gone too far on a particular case but by and far I would guess they serve the people well.

FDA some times lets some through with enough corruption...

I refuse to drink anything with aspartame... 

the story on the approval is interesting...

Aspertame or phenalalanine (sp?) 

At the very least it is an excitotoxin that alters brain chemistry. 
At the worst it is a serious contributor to the boom in Cancer and brain problems we have been seeing in this country.

rick...  aspartame is accepted because people trusted the government that is was safe simply because the government said so...  this trust government is very alarming...

are you familiar with the process and how aspartame was pushed through?  you would be surprised who is involved...

Yeah I know all about it and it is probably one of the most diabolical things that has ever happened right in front of the American people. I read about it while I was in Iraq taking orders from rummy himself.

What I don't understand is that when the system and govt is proven to be liars why do people want to give them more power.

but obviously although you know about it, most people dont... if not they would not have given the rummy the keys to the car after he ran 3 red lights and crashed it...

Nestle is suspending deliveries of all its products that include beef from a German supplier because "traces of horse DNA" were found in the meat, the Swiss-based food giant said on its website Monday.

Nestle also is recalling two chilled pasta products, Buitoni Beef Ravioli and Beef Tortellini, from store shelves in Italy and Spain, the news release said. A lasagna product sold to French catering businesses will also be recalled.
