here's my new series, for covers only.  democrats, republicans, libertarians, etc. all fair game (although i'm sure i'll post more republicans' comments because there's such an abundance of crazy on that side, but we'll see).  as you know, i focus on racist/homophobic and hypocritical comments because if i just posted stupid or self-serving shit they said, we'd be here all day.

to be fair, let's start with a classic which perhaps embodies our politicians better than any comment

nice one.  good display of professionalism when a concerned citizen sends a letter to a politician to express his preference on a major issue and the politician responds with racist sh*t about his ancestors.  after all, we are here for them, not vice versa. 

the more the merrier.

dirt... I really understand what you are saying...

it is not the GOP are worse... but how they think and what they choose to make important often makes them look like fools...

The reality is that I personally agree with the GOP on more issues then Dems... but the ones I disagree with are the one's that GOP seem to go out of their way to turn people off...

My dream is a fiscal conservatism with out the racism or the mini-iran theocracy... and because I wont get it from the dems, I am constantly disappointed that the GOP seem to go out their way to be run by the bible beaters and racists...

i guess this can go here.  good thing this is the party of small government. 

someone needs to explain to this nutjob that sodomy includes oral sex, and then explain to him what that is (although i imagine he's familiar in a larry craig kind of way ).

this is 14daroad's state.  maybe he can tell us what this big government freakshow is all about (and how much he has contributed to his governor campaign).  can you imagine what kind of christian taliban situation they'd be looking at in this state if this backwards big government lover was governor?

Campfield is also well known for his controversial remarks about homosexuality. In a January 2012 interview with Michelangelo Signorile, he stated "most people realize that AIDS came from the guy community – it was one guy screwing a monkey, if I recall correctly, and then having sex with men. It was an airline pilot, if I recall.... My understanding is that it is virtually – not completely, but virtually – impossible to contract AIDS through heterosexual sex...very rarely [transmitted]."[29][30] He later quoted the odds of heterosexual vaginal transmission at 1 in 5 million.

Didn't there used to be a truck driver/arline pilot/ policeman/ security guy on here awhile back?

it's going to be a sad day for comedy when g*y marriage becomes legal everywhere and the nuts will have to move on.  i can't imagine another issues that allows these morons to make such fools of themselves so often in public.

It is funny that in attempting to criticize the guy you reveal you don't understand this issue at all. Why don't you read something other than Mother Jones and the Huffington post?

I just came from Denver, where the issue of gun violence is something that has haunted families for way too long, and it is possible for us to create common-sense gun safety measures that respect the traditions of gun ownership in this country and hunters and sportsmen, but also make sure that we don’t have another 20 children in a classroom gunned down by a semiautomatic weapon -- by a fully automatic weapon in that case, sadly.

to indulge him, i'll post this here.  this really doesn't qualify as a crazy thing politicians say or really anything beyond business as usual.  but when is ee politicians get busted doing something that should so obviously result in them losing their job (who could argue that) these people almost never resign until the last possible moment when they are forced to.  we know why?  because political office has become such a gravy train.  they don't work hard like most other people, it's their own private playground with public money and big companies throw more money and benefits at them to keep them in their job and the only requirement is to pay those companies back with preferential treatment.  hard to give that up.

Do you ever notice that the "facts" you post are always convoluted assertions?

For example, the person in question, Republican National Committeeman Dave Agema, never said that phrase "Homosexuals account for half the murders in large cities"

Instead, we have a link to a story, which includes a link to a story in the Detroit Free press, neither of which make the assertion the phrase Homosexuals account for half the murders in large cities was ever used.

Further, we have no link to this FaceBook rant by the RNC guy, so I guess at this point we can just conclude you are making things up ClubDirt, correct?
