The White House has announced that, if the sequestration (it proposed) goes through as planned, the world will, in fact, end.   The New York Times is reporting that, if the world ends as predicted, women and minorities are expected to be the hardest hit.

i&#x27;m not too familiar with this sequestration issue.  of course the media wants to turn it into a horror show rather than actually report on the specifics.  my primary, uninformed thought is that if we are going to cut spending, and we all know we need to, wouldn&#x27;t defense be the first and biggest place to start?  our defense budget is ridiculously bloated.  i know our government loves to t6alk about how all those brown people with a different god are our enemies but at some point, don&#x27;t we need to slow down the flow of money to our billion dollar defense firms?

I&#x27;d like to suggest cutting the federal jobs in Texas and South Carolina first, they have the most tea party representatives in congress. They are for smaller government. &#xD;&#xA;So let the private sector create new jobs,  and since they can&#x27;t get anymore illegals from across the border, let&#x27;s see how that works for them.

They spent years telling us that we could grow the economy by cutting spending. Real spending cuts come and they are hiding like cowards. Why aren&#x27;t they celebrating cuts that will lead to economic prosperity?

I think that they dont really want to cut spending... just stop obama from doing anything he wants and to cry, moan, bittch, and crap their pants at every new agenda obama comes up with...

based on the behavior they have shown, celebration is not in their repertoire...

but could you imagine what would have happened if romney became president with the "auto-vote" mentality? pretty scary stuff...

the market doesn&#x27;t seem to be too bothered by this sequestration &#xD;&#xA;business.  i assume that means spending will be business as usual once &#xD;&#xA;the politicians quit bitching at each other and trying to take advantage&#xD;&#xA; of the media frenzy.
