Senator Pat Toomey is a pathetic coward

Well, this is apparantly the reason:

Bloomberg's Mayors Against Illegal Guns is pulling its ads in Pennsylvania, citing Toomey's work on a compromise bill.

So a Senator who is not up for re-election for 3 more years was steamrolled by silly ads by a left wing propagandist group.

(b) It shall be unlawful for any licensed importer, licensed
manufacturer, licensed dealer, or licensed collector to sell or
deliver 

(2) any firearm to any person in any State where the purchase
or possession by such person of such firearm would be in
violation of any State law or any published ordinance applicable
at the place of sale, delivery or other disposition, unless the
licensee knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the
purchase or possession would not be in violation of such State
law or such published ordinance;


So, we already have laws in place to make illegal the possession and sale of firearms to people who are has been adjudicated as a mental defective. We have a recent public law that aimed to improve information sharing to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System. 

Why do we need more gun control legislation again?

What started as a support group is now a lobbying force unlike any other to descend on Capitol Hill. The family members typically begin their pitch to senators softly, telling the story of the child that they lost. They gently say they could not have imagined themselves in this position, but they’re doing it to honor the memory of their children. They say they’re supporters of the Second Amendment, and just want to have a conversation.

But there’s nothing subtle about the way some of them conclude their visits: by leaving behind a color card with a photo of their slain relative. Nicole Hockley, who introduced President Barack Obama in Hartford this week, hands senators a card with three photos of her son Dylan, who was 6 when he was gunned down. One frame shows him grinning, in a Superman shirt.

How pathetic. I have no good will towards these people as they are not the enemies of freedom and agents of tyranny.
