You are correct, when there are two parties with opposing positions/views like lawyers in a court case by nature it is adversarial.

But, my request is not unreasonable.

When the words like "Repulsican", DemocRATS or CONservatives are used in a title as part of the topic is not the intent meant to bash and pick a fight ?.. 

Clearly the intention of the word in the OP's title is not meant for having a political discussion ..wouldn't you agree?

Lets see, since you seem to want some validation:
I own Taurus, a GMC Acadia, and an Audi. I coach kids sports, volunteer at the community where we spend some time in the summer, run an apprenticeship program for kids fresh out of high school so we can try to retain a skilled labor force in this country. I am a bell ringer for the Salvation Army at Xmas as well.
Don't know and don't care if meet any of your "standards" as I give my time and money when and where I can.
I also pay my "fair share" which some of which goes to you and I happy to do that.
You're welcome, my generation will take it from here though. Yes, we want the keys back so we can back this country outta the ditch we are presently in.

I know you vote straight party line for Dems,  and I know you are personally opposed to abortion.

How does it feel to enable and contribute to a party that promotes abortion?

How does it weigh on your soul that you belong to a party that has completely extricated Christian values from their platform, and is responsible for normalizing abortion to such an extent that tens of millions of children were not able to breathe their first breath?

This is what I've been trying to get through to you..Democrats DO NOT promote abortion, they believe it's a mother child to love and grow.

It's like guns and drugs and alcohol, people insist on those things. So if you believe that people are free to choose, then how can you do anything about it but try to control it ?

I do not support abortion at all. But I believe God punishes those women here on earth and later because have they motherly instincts to know better.The father/husband of a aborted child can try to stop it but if the mother is hell bent on it killing it, she will.

Again, the government can only try to control it within the constitution. There are people that do not believe in God, so are their rights denied because of it ? Just like those guns of yours.

So, let's just get this straight right now.  I am not for ending abortion, or limiting anyone's right to choose to murder their baby. Except for late term abortions ( I really find it deplorable after 24 weeks).  I am using this as a thought exercise to hopefully point out to you that your hands are not clean, and that you have in fact supported with your vote, an action that you even admit is murder.

That being said,  I find it extremely hypocritical of you saying that dead children of sandy hook are somehow on my conscience, or I have to feel sorry for acts that I did not even remotely support. 

Yet on the other hand you absolve yourself of the culpability you have in constantly electing pro-abortion candidates, and candidates that want to take away the church's right not to pay for abortions etc. 

Do you think God will make that distinction Don?

OH NO no no Ricochet, you have it all wrong. You want the right to own Assault weapons, not just hand guns. That's the equivalent giving every mother an abortion pill, by comparison.

Can you just imagine if everyone had the right to own any assault weapon without regulations? Look at Egypt and imagine many young crazies here in the U.S with them.  Now imagine them not knowing about Jesus Christ . Not knowing the 10 Commandments. 

Or imagine Chicago gangs with every assault weapon and sniper weapon available ! Now imagine that scenario in every major city.

Not only that, you voted for suppression of the weak, the old, the middle class, you voted against food stamps, school lunches, medical care for the poor, fair housing. If you voted for Robney, you voted to send jobs oversees and all the other bonehead idea's of his.

Easy answer..

You give unto Caesar that which is Caesars..

Practice your religion inside your home, set example outside the home. Do not vote based on your religious beliefs, rather what the core concepts of the country are about..and what your religion is about.

Free agency..all mankind are given the opportunity to chose for themselves..decisions that do not impact you personally are made by others and you should not look to control such things.

Now if you are against abortion and are willing to take ACTION on that position then maybe we can talk. How many foster kids or adoptions have you participated in as a family to vote against abortion and support the foster/adoption position?

I am not in support of abortion in MY HOUSE..I am in support of the rights of women in how I vote and outside my house. 

These sort of issues are what have caused wars for centuries..religious difference and acting based on your religion outside the house.

It is possible for don juan to be against abortion personally and support the democratic party..your post is way off base and you should evaluate WHICH religions concepts you are choosing to support and which you are not.
