Rubio would be such a bad selection. He looks and acts like a little boy. But knowing Mitt Robney, he's liable to do anything stupid.

If I were him, knowing Obama is leading in the polls with the women voter, I'd choose a women.. No NOT an idiot like Sarah Palin...But a conservative, older, wiser, and more refined woman...Oh No, wait, there are none in congress or the senate. I just looked it up. Women Democrats out number women republicans, 5-1 ..WOW ! I never knew that., ( Could it be it's because they are more compassionate ?)

Was it communist when Nancy Reagan told kids to just say no?  Or when Barbara Bush tried to get kids to read more?Encouraging exercise and healthy eating is communist?  And some wonder why most laugh at the right these days.If McCain had been elected and Cindy McCain had championed healthy eating and exercise, would anyone have called it communist?

and you wonder why us free thinking individuals laugh at you statist folk. kudos to michelle for suggesting that people eat less sugar and exercise more. &#xD;&#xA;Acer.. You are absolutely right, she would be the best fit for him. She has the background, and experience at a high level. She seems calm and cool, and is well spoken.  She surely would peel off the black vote and female vote from the President. She would handle herself well in any VP debate. But as I mentioned... Like McCain, Robney is too dumb to figure it out.&#xD;&#xA;She might force Obama to take Hillary.    Biden would pretend he has health issues and then Hillary steps in. lol Maybe that&#x27;s far fetched, but one never knows.

It is my understanding that single women prefer obama while married women prefer romney... so to group all women together may not make sense...I dont know what people say to run a woman GOP vice president candidate makes sense either... some say the best predictor of the future is past performance... and a woman VP candidate for GOP did not work out so well not that I am against women or think that GOP are... history has shown us that the woman dem VP candidate did not win either..Condi might be too connected to the GW administration in the perception of many to be viable... Also it really puts the racist "anyone but the kenyan/half black president" who remain outraged that obama is in the WH...  Condi is even blacker and she doesnt do the "uncle tom" act that cain did or someone like star parker...  So she does not fit the "Racist&#x27;s alibi" mold very well either...Colin Powell would make a better VP candidate...  He has separated himself from the GW reign of terror and speaking about how "critical thinking/decision making" worked in that administration...and he appears whiter and lighter skinned which might be more palatable to the racist anti-kenyan/dogmeat wackos

Energizing the GOP base meant nothing to McCain in 2008 because it didn&#x27;t increase his Electoral Vote count.  Now, you could argue that Palin helped the Republican Party solidify and take back the Congress, and you would probably be correct.  But the Presidency itself is always won or lost in the Swing States.  McCain should have tapped Tom Ridge and maybe he could have taken the State of Pennsylvania and more.  Ridge may not have been popular with all Republicans, but they would have held their noses and voted for McCain anyway while the Independent Voters gave the GOP a closer look.  It might have made a difference.Romney is no dummy.  He knows he needs both Ohio and Florida  in 2012 and he needs them desperately.  Those 18 and 29 Electoral Votes are huge.  Portman can and will deliver Ohio.  Portman also can hold his own in VP debate with Biden.  Can you picture Rubio on the same stage with Biden?  Disaster.  The wise move is to grab Ohio by putting Portman on the ticket.  Fight over Florida later.

Goose, not so sure a poll of 600 matters much, but interesting just the same. I'm not so sure i agree with you on Biden destroying Rubio in a debate, not so sure at all. Time will tell.

Biden would destroy Rubio on Foreign Policy. But I was referring to Rubio's diminutive height. Biden stands at least 4 inches taller than Rubio (not counting Joe's hair plugs) and given Biden's seniority, Rubio would look like a Boy Scout standing next to the VP. Why should that matter? It shouldn't. But that's what voters see in debates.
