In the first week of his new Reich - the so called "Honeymoon bump" - the Gallup Poll actually had der Fuhrer already under water, with 47% approval and 48% DISapproval. VERY unusual!! Virtually unprecedented in modern politics!

Gallup even put out a statement to the effect that in their nearly 70 years of polling, trump is the ONLY one where his initial approval ratings were historically low'

So he was -1 net approval Jan 29...

Gallup did a followup poll last week...

The convicted felon's numbers have gotten even worse:
...now trump is -6 net approval!

 Interesting.  Normally expect a post election bump like every other president gets

But not the convicted criminal leading the MAGA party

People now realize he sucks worse than they initially thought

Gallup says this make trump the most UNpopular president - at this point in a term - in their 72 yr history, and not only that but his rating is actually 15 pts BELOW the average polling for presidents at this point.
"Nobody (over past 72 years) has EVER started their presidential term this poorly in the eyes of the American people."

To be fair though we should point out that another MAJOR and very well respected poll - the Quinnipiac Poll - did in fact show that trump was +3 net approval during that initial week after inauguration.

 However,

their followup poll last week, just like the Gallup poll, showed a significant drop, and he is now polling -4 net approval.

15 points below avg.  Sounds about what we would expect

In the Washington Post/IPSOS poll (Feb 13 - 18):

27% STRONGLY support trump's actions during first month.

37% STRONGLY oppose trump's actions during first month.

Other new polls last week showing trump net approval is down:

-7 Reuters poll
-5 SSRS/CNN
-8 IPSOS/WAPO

  In the same Washington Post/IPSOS poll (Feb 13 - 18):

American's were asked if they wanted Democrats to control the next Congress

(2026 midterms) or control by [trump/MAGA] republicans?

41%  said  Republicans

54% said DEMOCRATS!

Remember this is only one month into the convicted felon's term, after the republicans gained the trifecta just 2 months prior.

Cutting Medicaid funding, threatening Social Security benefit and Medicare for for over 73 million retirees, AND at the same time giving $45 trillion tax cut to wealthy people, will these Trump administration policies be welcomed to the majority of Americans, really?
