Norm Eisen, who served as Obama’s ethics czar, filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, asking the Department of Justice to turn over documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender who died in prison in 2019.

“The American people deserve the truth — not a government willing to refashion our democracy to shield one man from accountability,” Eisen said in a July 28 news release from the Democracy Defenders Fund (DDF), a watchdog group he founded, which submitted the requests.

There's several things to unpack here. For one, as I said before, there's no reason for me to Google "sex obsession predator". The phrase isn't in agreement. The words don't work together as they are written. To Google the phrase, exactly as written, would return unrelated results. And you're correct about one thing. My initial response was somewhat disingenuous. I know Kells meant sex obsessed predator. And he is someone I respect, and consider a friend in this space. And to mock someone, and play around with semantics, well, that isn't being a very good friend. So to him, I apologize.

To you, frankly, and again, I never changed subjects. I remained pretty darn clearly on subject. My whole reason for responding, my reason for responding to most recent threads, is that it is becoming increasingly off putting to see Covers members, of the left side of the political aisle, loosely throw around labels like sex offender, rapist, predator, and now pedophile, literally the worst thing a person can be called. In the last few days, we have had two different posters say that if you are in this forum, and a Trump supporter, you are a pedophile too. How is that allowed? Conservative posters are boxed for saying things like liberalism is a disorder but you can call an entire sect of the forum pedophiles and that's ok.

Back to this thread. If Trump is a predator, based on what? If he is obsessed with sex, based on what? The man has cheated, true. Many men do. With exception to Stormy Daniels, the man cheated once that we know of and married the woman. He doesn't seem to sleep around/chase skirts. He never went through some New York playboy phase. The man has spent the majority of his adult life married. It's baseless name calling.

As far as asking if you are suffering from dementia, pardon me. I goal was to simply ask your age and make my own inferences. Given the hour of the post, it being evening, I wasn't my sharpest.

As to the rest of your content, I fundamentally disagree.  I have maintained that a logically sound and well reasoned argument could alter my malleable positions.  Sadly, the left never seems to offer this.  Especially perplexing, given my long public statement of being a registered independent from the closed state of Pennsylvania.  A well rationed party polling at 60 year lows would seemingly try to advance their strengths rather than condemn for my choice of president.

I mean all I have really said is that Democrats stole the nomination from Bernie (we now see why), Covid / Vaccines / Lockdowns were a joke...sorry mismanaged, and Joe had a bit more than a stutter.

So, ill end on this.  I'll go back and pull links to my civil asking and answering questions from the left and you go back and pull where you gave literally one inch on a position to someone on the right and we'll revisit your post above.

You asked a DIRECT and offensive question in your message, I literally answered it and then you cuss me out again and throw the mod card. Do you have a retort or a go to outside of the bad mod card?

You did not answer the comment either which I completely addressed your assertion about the LEFT, not sure why you made the comment it is that obvious.

You are aggressive, confrontational and defensive towards the other political side, several members in your category are the same and that does not make for good conversation and discussion. Ok, so we're clear, if i'm offended by someone else breaking the rules, if I'm offended by a poster calling me a pedophile based on who I voted for, the onus is on me. I can report them but there we will be no warnings or boxings like the "right" gets for pretty innocuous commentary on almost a daily basis.

Multiple posters literally referred to people on the "right" as pedophiles. Literally the worst thing you can call someone. Yes, plenty have leveled that insult on Biden but no one on the "right" has ever said, "If you support Biden, you must be a pedophile too."

Just because something was accepted in the past doesn't mean it should be the standard for the future. If they said that and weren't punished, we should be bigger people and show that we won't stoop to their level. It's wrong to call people pedophiles if they aren't, also because it minimizes how serious a crime it is.  And to be clear, I don't find anything you write particularly offensive. I know you think posters here are thin skinned while most that you interact with regularly, myself included, don't take much of it seriously. The point i'm making is these are the types of things that are getting posters deemed "right" boxed, almost daily. My last boxing was for asking, "How is that guy still a moderator?" but yet multiple people can literally blanket call all Trump supporters "pedophiles" and that's ok? How is that a thing? The report feature does not mean you get your way or that there will be a result you want but it IS the only way to let us know you have a rule breaking instance and that is how any member should handle a situation, retaliation and offensive replies are not the way to respond if you feel like someone offended you.
