They have some CEO on from a Petroleum company who states that climate change is not man made.

Liberals still crying about global warming

New scientific studies suggest a trend that may have started in the late 1990s. The earth may be cooling.

The Hadley Centre for Climate Change, part of the UK Met Office, tracks global temperature and shows a big drop in global temperature anomalies since January 2007. Based on the HadCRUT3 system of observed temperatures, global surface temperature anomalies have been trending down since 2001. January 2008 had the coldest anomaly since 1995.

Temperature anomaly is the difference between observed temperature and the average temperature for the same time over a period of years.

Meteorologist Anthony Watts compiled the HadCRUT3 temperature grids to make this intriguing plot of trends since 1988. Note the large drop in global temperature anomaly over the past year

Closer to home, Dr John Christy of the University of Alabama, Huntsville, uses NASA data to track global temperatures. His latest report suggests that compared to seasonal norms, January 2008 was the coldest month since July 2006 and the coldest January since 2000.

Anecdotal evidence of the cooling trend is noted by record season snowfall totals and low temperatures over large portions of the northern Hemisphere.  Please visit the NOAA Climate website for more information.

Thousands of scientists including over 600 from MIT have stated that man-made global warming is so much crap (to coin a phrase).  How many liberal wing-nuts (to coin another phrase) continue to play Chicken Little?  Get a grip, people, just because Al Gore says it does not make it so.  Look to see who gets much richer if the Senate passes the "tax and spend" bill.  Would it be Al Gore and others of his ilk?  Why, yes.  Exactly right.  He does not believe this himself, it is his scam to get richer.

Even if it were man caused, WHICH IT ISN'T. Now is not the time to address it. Without an economy, nothing else really matters. You don't burn the forrest down to save the trees. obama has screwed the economy royally and cap and tax could be the death knell. He is in so far over his head it is laughable. That is actually the reason he had intended to ask elementary school kids for advice in his sermon this morning, many of them have run lemonade stands and have more business experience than he does. Have you noticed that all he does is jump from one area of incompetence to the next without resolution all the while reveling in the chaos he is creating but never solving a single problem.

Yeah it is never a good time to think out in the future, just keep waiting until the situation is beyond repair and the cost to fix the issue is 100 times more than if you used prevention and forward thinking.

It seems as though you've changed the terminology from 'global warming' to any pollution very conveniently. Also you appear to be placing the blame for the entire world's pollution on the US. Have you spoken to India and China?? I assume you are willing to completely shut down the US industrial system for a slightly cleaner environment and perhaps not even that as these same companies take their business to less restrictive environments.

Your figures (costs) and timing are purely speculative as well. Please provide a link as support. Common sense suggests that you don't attempt to enforce additional restrictions and taxes in a time of business constriction, but common sense really isn't a liberal trait, is it? Perhaps some libs would like to close their businesses voluntarily or off themselves to reduce their footprint? No. Always the other guy...........libs are some of the biggest polluters out there.
Perhaps Gore and obama might want to set a good example instead of the laughable hypocrisy.

even IF global warming was man made, its unprovable and if they could prove it, we cannot fix it

for all the lefty hate of industry, according to their own science, beef/cattle is the number one producer of carbon footprints...so those who condescend you for not caring about Mother Earth while wearing leather shoes are full of it

earth is a 4b year old planet, humans are a minor nuisance to it

Lets bring a little sanity to the discussion about the age of the earth.

How many years of that 4B total were we in the industrial age where we burned fossil fuels and created toxic chemical products which are dumped into the environment?

I can connect the dots, not sure why others cannot.

Pollutants kill rats in lab tests...CHECK
Pollutants kill humans...CHECK
Pollutants kill animals when let into the environment...CHECK

Yet we cannot just admit that pumping billions of tons of pollutants which kill and destroy things we know into the environment will EFFECT said environment. Since we of course cannot TEST the upper atmosphere, I guess it just doesnt effect it.

Talk about being in denial, I find humor that we as humanity continue to make excuses and push the buck as we do.

Is it a mere coincidence that those you believe trickle down economics works are the same as those denying global warming?
