before noting how Trump had sided with Russia when it
annexed the Crimean Peninsula, another portion of Ukraine.
"There's a bit of a different approach," she said.

As war breaks out in Europe,
China blames the US

As Russian missiles flew through the Ukrainian sky Thursday and world leaders decried an invasion spreading across the country, China refused to condemn Russia's move outright, while appearing to levy blame on the United States and its allies.

To be fair to CNN, cable news viewership has dropped from a year ago, with the fallout from the 2020 election and the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol driving high viewership. MSNBC saw a 62% drop among viewers 25-54 year-over-year, and a 47% decline among all viewers. Fox News Channel was the only cable news network to increase its viewership—up 6% in the key demo and up 2% among total viewers—compared to the same period in 2021.

France will provide defensive equipment to Ukraine, French President Emmanuel Macron said in a written speech to the country’s two legislative bodies Friday. The speech did not detail what the equipment would be.

Macron wrote that France will provide Ukraine with a “additional budgetary assistance of 300 million euros” and “will provide the defensive material they need."

France has not previously provided arms to Ukraine but has provided humanitarian aid and budgetary support.

Delta Air Lines is ending its partnership with Russian airline Aeroflot in response to the invasion of Ukraine.

“We have removed our code from Aeroflot-operated services beyond Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport and removed Aeroflot’s code from Delta-operated services from Los Angeles and New York-JFK,” said a statement from the airline. “Accommodations will be made for customers affected by these changes.”

The European Union has added Russian President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to its sanction list

“This is the final outcome of the discussion that was not finished yesterday at the European Council and has been decided today by the ambassadors and the Ministers,” Borrell said.

“So President Putin and Foreign Minister Lavrov are in the list of sanctioned people together with the remaining members the Duma who are supporting this aggression,” he added.

A readout of Johnson’s call with NATO leaders published on the UK government’s website read that Johnson urged them “to take immediate action against SWIFT to inflict maximum pain on President Putin and his regime.”

“The Conservative Prime Minister added that the world must make certain President Putin would fail in this act of aggression. Ukraine was showing strong resistance. He added that there could no normalization of relations with Russia after this act”

That's interesting, and worthy imo.

Airlines & Tourism industry  refusing to do further business there would be significant too if they can make that happen.

I noticed an article today that Russia is angry with Facebook and accusing them of "censorship" of certain individuals there.

isolating russia and in effect treating them like a leprosy-plagued pariah should b the goal

shuts its door on Russia and closes Moscow office

In a statement on Friday, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) officially ended Russia’s accession process to become a member.
“The Council has also asked the Secretary-General to take the necessary steps to close the OECD Moscow office and to stop all invitations to Russia at Ministerial levels and in the bodies where listed as Invitee,” the statement reads.
