Studies found for every dollar spend by IRS, the agency returns $5-$12. So widespread cuts to IRS make no sense if government cares about reducing budget deficits. Nonpartisan congress budget office recommendations for deficit reduction focus more on increasing revenue instead of cutting costs.

So is the fact that data is not safe a rationale to let Musk and the kids do whatever they want under the guise of cutting costs? Does this validate the existence of this group and is a reason to allow ANY data to be given to a group not approved and vetted from congress?
I do not see the logic in suggesting since data is not safe that these goofs can scorch earth anything they want and especially given how partisan and quite lousy of a job they are doing. I would think it is best to perform a task to completion before claiming victory but no these partisan kids are not really looking to make things better, they are looking to elevate Musk and his ultra conservative partisan objectives.
