He needs them to staff his administration.

 Darkness, remember when you asked the question if anyone had seen any videos of Trump laughing or smiling on camera??  That may have been the case in the past but recently all kinds of videos of him grinning ear to ear and laughing with others.  Maybe it was just a sign of the times.....

The POS is attending the Army/Navy game this weekend & his date is Ron DeSantis. He wants DeSantis to name his daughter in-law, Lara Trump, to fill the Senator position that Rubio is vacating. 

Wait until Ronnie finds out the POS also plans for Pete Hesketh to join them as the 3rd wheel.

The POS is jerking around DeSantis but he's too dumb to realize it.

Personally, I think the vision of grandeur clouds their judgement, turns them into personal failures & eventually leads them into corruption.

Exactly!  Also easier to manipulate because the candidate KNOWS he owes der Führer (ie, the leader) a massive amount of gratitude for giving an unqualified (or under-qualified) loyalist any position in the new regime of power and a chance to bend a knee before him and kiss his ring.
