i too am upset about the recent bill but am not going to lay the blame on the Bush or the Republican party. George Bush is just doing his job, he signed a bill that had a ton of support into law. The bill itself is a pretty good piece of legislation. However Bill Frist (R) from Tennessee attached the online gaming bill to it to satisfy his own personal agenda.It did not pertain to the rest of the bill. I do blame him and his backwards view and underhanded method of passing what he thinks is morrally correct. But before you speak take a look at all the democrats that disapproved and fought for our rights..... 98-0 was the vote. I don't judge my entire basis of political view on one issue.

Pegs, it was 98-0 because of everything attatched to the bill. Not the gambling part
I realize that, but were there any democrats that were willing to take a stand, against the bill until the irrelavant gambling law was removed... The problem is there aren't any good choices for us, Democrat or Republican you are just choosing between the lesser of two evils, if you think by voting democrat you will have online poker put back, then i must disagree. I hate this bill just as much as anyone of you but i will not let it taint my view of republicans. I don't really consider myself a republican i am more of a middle of the road guy.

only reason you attach this to a BILL that will pass is cause it WILL PASS. it couldve been attached to any other bill but they picked their spot and hit a home run. no one was going to take a stand and say i like every part of this bill BUT THE GAMBLING attachment. lets be real here, this was the conserv's last chance to get in a cheap shot at a BS bill to disturb and invade the privacy we all take for granted these days. now that its passed they will push it even further cause they have some legislative BS behind them saying its a law. i look at this is STAGE I and stage II and III will be more than enough to send me off of any gov't anything for a long time cause oviously MY VOICE doesn't matter as much as it used to.
as in the words of AL GORE..."Hi, im al gore, i was voted to be your president..." now thats some funny shit. repubs, demo's, all can kiss my swanson cause if you want to start taking away my internet rights by attaching it to a wire act( its a cable not phoneline by the way) then i might as well move to CANADA. then i can gamble and smoke and grow greens. the more BS this gov't pulls, the more i start to realize why so many non-americans hate this country. so many rich freakin chiefs and too many indians doing exactly what they are told to do or say.
