People always get confused about this issue.  Ukraine is NOT a democracy.  Canada IS a democracy.  Ukraine scores 5.81 overall.  Civil Liberties scores 5.88 and Functioning of Government scores a 2.71.  Whereas, Canada scores overall 9.24.  Civil Liberties they score 9.41 and Functioning of Government scores a 8.93. 

So, now when Trudeau uses the methods he used, which were not very democratic, it would seem most folks that want to see a democracy succeed would NOT approve of these actions.  Whereas, a non-democratic state that pretty much is used to non-democratic methods is expected to receive more sympathy and aid than their nearest true democratic neighbors.

These are generally the same people that assume the USA is a democracy also.  However, they are okay with the USA allowing folks from another neighbor, which is NOT a democracy, into their country.

Amazing, the way folks think.

Yeah, saw BA flights on computer delay earlier -- they saying not a hack, just slow.  Depending on how long of a delay you have, you can try Bull Steak House.  It is near there.  Pretty decent place and good food.  Always find eating in a nice place with good coffee is a way to kill time -- a lot better than hanging in the airport itself.   Do not know if they are open during pandemic there or not.

Amazed this was the only Ukraine thread -- but stuck in penalty forum, so I guess not much action on here.

Came to Zurich and flying from here to Boston tomorrow. What a pain in the wazzooo. 

Looks like Russia took their systems down after UK banned Russian flights? They’re saying they werent hacked but it sure looks like they were. 

Zurich is a nice place.  There is a cool restaurant there that is an old standby for them.  Has nice art inside and decorated very cool.  Cannot think of the exact name off the top of my head.  But if you ask around, everyone will know the place you mean.  It is a distance from airport.  So, if you are staying at the airport, you will need a taxi to get there.  But well worth going if you have nothing better to do.  Always good to experience the local cuisine when you travel.  If you are flying back early tomorrow you probably will not have time.

Zurich is beautiful and clean with classy people and no masks. I’d like to spend more time here at some point. 

Nah that hotel was a shithole by my standards. Would probably be considered extravagant by you and your family though. 

St Peters Basilica was tremendous. The Sistine Chapel is overhyped imo, it’s just too busy. Michelangelo should consult me before he does anymore work. 

We stayed at Rome Cavalieri. Tremendous place to come back to for a massage and jacuzzi after trekking it around Rome all day. 

The food was obviously good. It lives up to the hype. Florence is beautiful. 

Rome is kind of beat. They were once the empire but it’s rather apparent that they are the empire no more. 

Overall I’d rate the trip 8/10. 

Flying commercial is rough.  Maybe ask CT for a bump in per message pay.
