Watch how employees of large media corporations "report" on Russia/Ukraine: almost all of it is just repeating — uncritically — what anonymous intel officials told them. This is what they regard as "real reporting."

When these employees of media corporations accuse others of not doing "real reporting," this is what they mean by "real reporting": getting calls from the CIA or Pentagon and being told what to say. Not doing that was supposedly the lesson of Iraq but it's more common than ever.

I agree it will get worse.  Many in Ukraine are more likely to follow Russia and have Russian ties, this is what Putin is leaning on now.

When the current Ukraine government put the opposition party leader under arrest for treason and then shutdown the pro-Russian television stations they should have thought about the consequences as they alienated a portion of their population. Sorta like Canada is doing now. As they say; " The more you tighten your grip the more slip through your fingers."

Would expect better from a democracy, doesn't appear to be one.

It'll continue to happen so long as the United States is on its back foot and the sanctions I've seen so far… One of the two banks they sanctioned, a Bank called VEB, was already under sanctions. I promise you, Putin saw that and what he reads in that is green light. These folks aren't going to take this seriously. And unfortunately, this impacts people at home. We're going to have higher gasoline prices because they've shut down our energy. And now Russia will make a fortune off of high gas prices. This is bad for Americans all across the country. President Biden needs to get back out in front of this, reestablish deterrence and demand that our European partners do exactly the same thing.

Trying to restore order????? He needed to declare martial law to remove peaceful protesters sitting in the street with police officers????

And he needs to keep it in place after clearing the protesters??

Like the left supported Trump on literally anything? When Trump was elected Schumer said they will fight him on everything and they did for four years. They even supported China, another communist country, over the pandemic and blamed Trump for it. Where was all this "support our president" then?
