Ukraine's President has one of the toughest jobs in the world right now. On the one hand, you want allies to take Russia's threats as seriously as possible. On the other, you don't want your population or international investors to panic.

Tough to do both.

The Biden administration has done pretty much as much as it can to influence his decision making.

Rescinding the promise that the Ukraine may join NATO in the future is non-negotiable.

Removing NATO arms in Eastern Europe is an unrealistic topic.

The government warned those in Afghanistan to leave just like the Ukraine situation.

I see it all the time during hurricane season. People stay to protect whatever they have.
