more than doubling the current death toll, a new model often cited by top health

  Research Scientist who run these models from the University of Washington's Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) are covering their asses ..playing four ends toward the middle.

They use three projections IHME previously projected 317,697 deaths by Dec. 1..Now they are released four projections based on different assumptions:best-case scenario,a worst-case scenario, a best-case scenario and a most likely scenario.

The best-case scenario, which assumes universal masking, predicts that 288,380 people in the U.S. will die from Covid-19 in 2020.

The most likely scenario estimates that Covid-19 will kill 410,450 people in the U.S. by Jan. 1

Another one predicting 410,000 will die by 2020

...and yet another projects up to 620,028 people in the U.S will die by 2020...

Either way they are better predictions then from Dr. Neil M. Ferguson, a British epidemiologist who is regarded as one of the best disease modelers in the world, produced a sophisticated model at the  beginning of this thing ...with a worst case of 2.2 million deaths in the United States..

I wish,I knew a bookie,,, that would give me that much of a range on my bets.........

*IF* mask use wanes (and other common sense guidelines)

trump and his accomplices are is still on track for being responsible
for most of 250,000 dead Americans by December 1.

From the 129 countries with at least 4 million pop, the trump-regime
has now climbed into the 8th WORST - since passing Sweden Friday.
Next up for the trump regime is ITALY, probably by Sept 9.

touted by Trump, delay a 10-state study of COVID-19 infection statistics in June

"I'm not going anywhere," Caputo said in the video. "I swear to God, as God is my witness, I am not stopping."
Caputo has a history of making inflammatory remarks on social media. CNN's KFile reported earlier this year that he made racist and derogatory comments about Chinese people, accused Democrats of wanting the coronavirus to kill millions of people and accused the media of intentionally creating panic around the pandemic to hurt Trump in a series of now-deleted tweets.
Caputo also made a slew of crude and sexist comments toward women in a series of now-deleted tweets.

is taking a two-month leave of absence from his post, the department announced,
a day after he apologized for a conspiracy theory-laden rant he made against
career government scientists in which he accused them of "sedition"
and working to undermine President Donald Trump.

Caputo's rant, which was broadcast live from his personal
Facebook page on Sunday:
"These people (CDC) cannot, cannot allow America to get better.
Nor can they (CDC) allow America to hear good news. It must be all bad news
from now until the election. Frankly, ladies and gentlemen, that's sedition,"

Ellesia Blaque, one of the undecided participants in an ABC News town hall with
President Trump on Tuesday, said she will now vote for Democratic nominee
Joe Biden after her question was not addressed by the president.

"He didn't answer my question," Blaque told CNN after the town hall, adding that
Trump had "reanimated" her to vote in the presidential election, whereas before
the town hall she was still undecided on whether she would vote at all.

Blaque asked Trump during the town hall about HOW he plans
to protect those with pre-existing health conditions so that
they can afford their health care and remain insured.

Trump told Blaque that his administration is
"not going to hurt pre-existing conditions, and in fact, just the opposite."
Then he went on to rail against Biden and Democrats' approach to health care,
accusing them of wanting to remove protections for pre-existing conditions.

Corporate America says he deserves a failing grade.
Fifty-five percent of CEOs and other business leaders give Trump an "F" for his
administration's response to the coronavirus pandemic, according to a poll conducted
by the Yale School of Management. Another 12% say Trump deserves a "D."
Just 6% of the attendees at Yale's Chief Executive Leadership Institute CEO Caucus
award Trump an "A" for his handling of Covid-19.

A staggering 77% of business leaders polled by Yale say they plan to vote 
for Joe Biden over Trump in the November election. That's despite Biden's proposals
to hike tax rates on both corporations and the high-income households.
The findings suggest Trump's support from the business community is fraying
after years of bitter partisanship.
