Day 14 (Tuesday): NBA: Dallas +7.5 CBK: South Carolina +7 (bought half point from +6.5 -105, to +7 -115 .. Reason: 6 points is a two possession game, 7 points is a 3 possession game .. I see 7 as a key number (like 3 and 7 in NFL) as it can come in huge at the end of the game as far as fouling is concerned .. or not fouling because your're down 7 .. 7 is the "give up" number.) After day 13: NBA Record: 10-3 CBK Record: 11-2 Overall Record: 21-5 (79%) Days [1-5]: 9-1 (90%) Days [6-10]: 7-3 (70%) Days [11-15]: 5-1 (83%) BOL PV

    Hey Pitt

I think you might of been baked? But we still you

Interesting that you have South Carolina and UNCforever who I also has Kentucky -6.5

I wont think any less of you if you lose, but can you tell me why you picked SC?

    Thanks

I don't understand why you buy .5 on SC.

Aren't you basically putting up extra juice for a push?

Considering the teams playing, most likely the the action will fall more on Kentucky. Makes more sense to me wait it out and get that half for nothing.

There are many of reasons but I don't feel like getting into it all. I explained Miami yesterday, and have broken down a couple other games for people and it gets tiring. A main reason, however, is that this is a big letdown game for Kentucky. Kentucky is now ranked #1 with Texas's two losses in a row. Kentucky is 16-0, and are coming off a 31 point win at home, now go on the road to play a meaningless game @ South Carolina before returning home for a busy few days where they will play #21 Vanderbilt and then on Tuesday #18 Mississippi. I see them overlooking this game. They are ranked #1 but do not deserve to be. They have yet to even face a top 25 opponent .. while 19 of the other 24 teams (in the top 25) have played top 25 teams at least 3 times. IN FACT .. only three teams in the top 50 have had an easier schedule then Kentucky. They need to prove they deserve to be #1 .. the coaches and players all know this and with two very difficult ranked opponents coming up, I imagine that in this meaningless weekday game they may slip up a bit or let South Carolina creep up on them. South Carolina has a superstar nobody knows about.

South Carolina is very underrated and much better than their 11-8 record shows. However, they are 8-2 at home. South Carolina has a superstar on their team that the country hasn't been talking about. His name is Devan Downey and this kid is remarkable. He'll be looking to make a name for himself and his team in this game which means much more for South Carolina. Like I said for Kentucky it is just a road game they'd rather not play before going home for two important games. For South Carolina it is a game vs. their division's leader and league leader, and like I said a game for Downey to make a name for himself. Downey leads the team in points, assists and steals .. averaging 22, 4, 3. This kid takes alot of shots for the Gamecocks and distribute it off Dominique Archie every now and then who averages 14.5 points per game to go along with a team high six rebounds. This team does however like to distribute the time and ball fairly evenly amongst their players.

Frankly, Kentucky is the better team in a bad situation. Expecting Kentucky to sleep a bit, especially on Downey, with a Gamecock team looking to give full effort in front of a home crowd and getting three possessions on the point spread, i'll go with the run and gunning home team to cover the spread and likely just lose the game straight up.

Considering the teams playing, most likely the the action will fall more on Kentucky. Makes more sense to me wait it out and get that half for nothing.

Don't worry about me. I bet 230$ to win 200$ rather than the usual 220$ (though this time it would have been 210).

I do not expect the half point to make a difference but I always buy the half point when I have +6.5 underdogs (as rare as that is). Haha. Why you guys making a big deal out of this? Let me bet how I bet. The juice means nothing when you go 80%.

Pitt, you are doing outstanding man, but this is a forum and people have questions. Take it easy, bro. Instead of getting frustrated, you should take it as a compliment. By the way, the "I hit 80%" remark is totally going to come around to haunt you. Trust me on that one. I've seen it 1,000 times.

Thanks ballpicker. I don't mind the questions, just don't like when they are asked in a certain manner. As in they are question my play or pick .. or why the hell would you pick that. You know what I mean?

PV, I only mention because he's in your write-up, but Dominique Archie has been out since late November.

They are ranked #1 but do not deserve to be. They have yet to even face a top 25 opponent .. while 19 of the other 24 teams (in the top 25) have played top 25 teams at least 3 times.

could have swon they have played ad beat UnC and Uconn, and a florida team that was once in the top 25!!!!!!

UNC not close to top 50, neither with Florida. Uconn is top 25, but shouldn't be IMO (they are 1-4 against top 25 ranked teams).

Well let me rephrase it then. They have faced one top 25 opponent .. while 19 of the other 24 teams (in the top 25) have played top 25 teams at least 3 times. Only three other teams have had only one match against teams in the top 25.

My point is they do not deserve to be #1. They acquired the #1 through teams losing .. and they don't deserve it until they can prove they do.

They are winning with youth you cant take that away from them. Most teams that are youthful in their position would have dropped a couple games already. They have NBA type players and it is doing enough to win games. You wont give them any respect the rest of the season as the SEC is soft. So when do we give them respect after the Big Dance?

Its going to be gross what they do to this conf. when everyone is clicking and we saw that last game.

As I said a few posts earlier, South Carolina now getting 7 on all books. That extra half looks even better now.
