Tulane / Rice...of all the games...why this one?

this should be a fade Tulane Play - they have won 6 straight vs Rice...
    BUT,
this is also a Fade HF off a SU Dog Win angle...
    HOWEVER,
Tulane is scoring on avg. 16 pts more on the rd ( 69 ) L3 than at home ( 53 ) whereas Rice has nearly an identical avg ( 66 ) pts L3 Home and away...this is not a I beat you, you beat me match-up...No Side Play...small bet over 127

Flip a coin, gun to head...small bet +3 Tulane

This gives me lots of time to handicap. I have the freedom to do whatever I like, therefore I can spend all day handicapping if I really felt like it.

I hope this answered your question .. and I made sure I answered this because I missed your question the other day.

I'll look over the other questions now and see what you guys have said .. but THANKS A LOT. I'll also bump up my post, of plays.

PittViper, Thanks for answering my questions. I am also in school full time and I work close to full time so its harder for me to handicap games most nights and I just usually spend a few minutes checking out some Trends here on Covers and last 10 games of each team under Matchup of the games..

Otherwise I dont really look into the games much more than that..or for Over/Under selections I check out the Ref's for the games and see what kinda total's they have been coming up with recently, etc. Otherwise what else could you possibly do for handicapping games besides trends, history of head to head matchups/how teams are playing/if they need to win the game/importance, etc..and of course some luck on your side...

Also thanks for that Northwestern pick yesterday, I used it for my 9th win in a row on Survivor. Didn't bet any games and stayed away from Atlanta

PittViper, The thing about getting the best line early the night before, could be a good thing or a bad thing..Don't you think a lot of games that end in a deciding factor of 1/2 points or 1 point and you missing out on waiting till you can get that extra half pt or 1 full point later in the day/closer to game time would be a better decision? I mean whatever works for you works, but I've lost plenty of games by 1/2 pts and 1pt due to me not shopping for the best line or waiting clsoer to game time to get that line and that changed it all from a win to a loss becasue I was too anxious to get my bet in early...

Always able to buy your bet back? Where would you do this? Never heard of any online sites that allow you to cancel your bets?..Do you use online sportsbooks for your wagers or do you have a local bookie that you use?

You are able to buy your bets back if you have money in more then one account, which I recommend to everyone.

My point was, that when I place my bet at night .. I only place it if it is a line I am comfortable with. Sometimes I will buy half points, but most times, I am comfortable with position I have.

Gambling is a forum of investing. If you could make a placement on a stock that you really like right now .. would you, or would you wait throughout the day to see if your stock happens to move up in value, when you already have a good position? No. Example is today. I got rice at -2 last night .. I am comfortable with this position because if I were to wait, i'd be hoping the line goes to -1 or -1.5 .. meaning it will only make a difference if my team wins by exactly by 2 points (remember a push is fine with me, I just don't like losses). So why wait and hope the line moves off a position I am already comfortable with .. if I were to have waited I would be betting Rice at -3.5 right now with nearly no value left in the line. If the line gets to -4, then the value is completely shot. Now instead of winning the game by one score, Rice needs to win by three scores.

See, if you are uncomfortable with the line you have then it is a good idea to wait .. just like in stocks, if you see an investment that potentially has value you just wan't the line to drop a little bit more before you bet it .. if it doesn't then you simply don't bet them.

I hope this makes sense .. but my point of it all is I like to put in my wager at night so I am ahead of the betting curve and do not have to worry about what everyone is doing. I am very good at picking the games and don't need distractions throughout the game deterring me from the initial pick I made. First instinct is usually correct.

    Hey Pittviper...

First off I want to say thanks! Ive been riding the wave for a couple weeks now and will until it crashes.

One question though. I know you only play hames where you see value, but im going to the Celtics vs Heat fame tonight and love to put action on games I attend. You have any leans on that game?

Id even play a total. Im actually thinking heat covers...

    Thanks in advance

Pittviper, I guess your right man, Whatever works.. I just look at it all in the way where if Rice was -3 originally and you took it when it opened the night before at -3, but than the next morning a few hours later it dropped to -2, and you had it -3, and they ended up winning by 2pts, you could have prevented this and at least got a push out of it/ or a win depending on the difference in the line.. but that could happen either way, which you have described the negative way, same with the stock market and investments..You could notice a stock is going up and than invest in the stock as well..I guess your better off getting lines early though..

And with buying your bets back, your saying have 2 accounts, a backup account in case someone gets injured before game/after your bet's placed early the night before? and if anything place a bet for the opposite selection and hope to just break even?

Best of luck tonight. I might follow on one of the 2 picks for tonight for my Survivor 9W streak going for 10 in a row.

everyone let me explain this is pittviper himself.  As much as I hate to say it, I know a lot of you guys are on pittvipers bandwagon and rightfully so he is on fire. but the guy made a new account Gaimday to set the seed into everyone that he should be charging for his picks. I have seen it a million times.  Notice he put 50 days of picks.....after 50 days he is going to say something like that he will be selling his picks now , or someone is hiring him to put piks ins.  I also developed a new account for the simple reason i dont want my identity to be know because i am a regular on here.  Everyone look at gaimdays  messages and pittvipers messages. its funny how they both like to use ...        ...     ....  after certain statements. also gaimday uses capital letters to try to get people to think that he is a totally different person than pittviper. if not  we would be able to see even more similarities in the writing styles.  Its also funny how pittviper got on and wrote a message right after gaimday left his. Listen i work for law enforcement for a living and have solved 100s of robbery cases and burglary cases. im just saying this smells very fishy. and when the day comes when pittviper wants to make money off you guys dont say i didnt tell you so.

everyone let me explain this is pittviper himself. Listen i work for law enforcement for a living and have solved 100s of robbery cases and burglary cases. im just saying this smells very fishy. and when the day comes when pittviper wants to make money off you guys dont say i didnt tell you so.

good luck and take it for what its worth

Surprisingly I actually agree with this statement. Who posts at a handful forums? My guess is to bring in as much clientel as he can. He is doing it at the right time with run he is on and has every sportsbetting forum going nuts.

Then going back a few pages the guy brings up ROI and money management and all this stuff. Only touts talk this way. Would not be shocked at all if the end result is true as this statement.

What person comes on to fourm with very little posts telling the guy that is hotter than shit to start selling plays? "from unc"  which i agree 110%

Right. Good info. I would like to add that betting early is always a good idea went betting on the favored team in order to get the best line. When betting underdogs it's better to bet as late as possible when more money is on the favored team in order to maximize your investment and get the best odds.

Not to mention for a person that loves to post at a handful of forums where were you for football season or the beginning of hoops season? Why drop in midway through? Its perfect timing as it rolls right into the conference tourney play/March Madness. NBA finals and the start of bases. Hint 100 plays 50 days. Not too mention the guys has lied in the past typically if someone has a habit at lying it doesnt change. After I read that big long thing on ROI I lost all respect for this guy.
