Pittviper I am new to the site. I haven't posted yet and I will start posting my plays tomorrow. I would like to start off by telling you how impressive your picks are. I have been following you for two weeks now but just started placing bets on your picks Saturday. I am 3 and 1 following you.
I do have a question. Please do not feel offended by my question. I see the hawk pick as a similiar game as the laker game tonight. A very good team getting a point on the road against and up and coming team that is playing very goods right now. The hawks I believe are 4 wins and 9 losses on there last 13 road games. I would think in a game like this with a spread of 1 the lean is towards the Thunder at home. Im interested so see your take on this game. Why do you like the hawks?
And people please dont act like im hating on the viper cause im not. based on how he has been picking the last two weeks i thought for sure the thunder looked like a good candidate for him to choose. Just like memphis tonight and the kings on Saturday,

Remember, just because it is a good situation like you said, and there is reason to bet Oklahoma City (and you are comparing the bet to Memphis which the game does look very similar too at first glance.There are a few huge differences, and those situations don't win all the time they need outside factors in favor of the bet as well and in this game they don't have them. Thanks viper. Honestly between me and you I bet on the thunder at home recently against the spurs and bulls and lost both. I dont want to bet on them cause they kill me everytime so I am looking for a reason to fade them in this game LOL....The only thing that had me leaning towards them is that spread. A spread like that when a good team on the road is a giving 3 down to a 1 point dog always looks like a tirck line to me and I usually go the other way and win. Like i mentioned similiar to the kings and memphis picks. But you right every instance is different and there may be factors im missing.
By the way i will be posting my picks starting tomorrow. I am going to go 2 picks a day. I have been doing pretty good this season but no way anywhere near like you are. Thanks for the repsonse

A couple reasons why this game is not like last nights lakers game:
The line opened with OK City as favourites rather then like Memphis as dogs. This can be a big indicater that the book is expecting money on Oklahoma City or that Atlanta is not as big of a public favourite as the Lakers were.
Memphis was good against top teams (they are 8-9). Oklahoma City is not good against top 10 teams, they are 6-12 and are a total 9-16 against playoff teams. Those average out to around 30%. Against non playoff teams, however, they are 17-5 against NON playoff teams. I have won bets on them many times this year when they've been on the road, when they are undervalued, and playing a bad team, a few of these times they've been underdogs.
To be honest Oklahoma City doesn't have many fans. They actually play better on the road, though their record might not show it because of strength of opponent. I figure on the road they atleast have something to prove to the fans or at least have lots of fans to play in front of. They are 14-10 this season at home, but with most of those wins coming against non-playoff teams. Virtually Oklahoma City has ZERO home advantage. Weird huh.
Anyways, point is .. that is another difference between the Memphis game.
Like I said earlier, Lakers were tired, on an eight game road trip, 4 games in five nights .. while Atlanta is fresh off two days rest .. and a loss they've been itching to redeem themselves for .. and time for the coaches to plan for this game. I believe they are something like 6-2 off two days of rest this year.
Atlanta 7-3 past 10, but are off an OT loss .. OK City 5-5 past 10, off a win vs a bad team.
See sniper77, this game may look the same as lights lakers memphis game at first glance but if you look deeper into it you'll see it is nothing close. Two different basketball teams, in two different situations.

Thanks guys. Monday is here. In the NBA I think Boston -5, Boston/Washington under 191 and Memphis +2.5 are all good bets but I am going with the freshest team, in Memphis. Boston should cover the -5 without motive, but they have motive now with three straight losses (to the leagues three best teams) with two of those games being decided by 2 points or less (2 and 1). They lost last night coming back by a double digit deficit to keep it close with the Lakers but they couldn't win, falling up short by 1 point. They should be hungry for a win, and have a chance right away to pound on a bad Washington team who really hasn't been the same since Arenas was suspended (though they have won their past two games, all be it vs. New York and New Jersey). The ONLY reason why Boston is not my play for today .. this is their fourth game in five days, and I refuse to bet on Washington games for the remainder of the season as they can be a tricky team to read with all the problems inside of that organization.
With four games in five days, with two of them being on the road and this being the 3rd road game in that period, the under looks like a strong bet. Add this to the fact that neither team has been scoring lately .. Washington with 7 unders in their last 10 games, as well as 6 unders in their last 8 home games .. as well as Boston with 5 unders in their last 8 games .. the bet in this game is definitely BOSTON, UNDER or nothing. I'm going to go with nothing, because Washington's playing and I don't know how tired Boston will be . That information is just for anyone betting that game.

NBA: Memphis Grizzlies +2.5 (bought half point)
I suggest if you have +1.5 to buy to 2, and if you have +2 to buy to +2.5 on the Memphis game .. it could be a nail biting finish. It is the Lakers though, and the line may rise on its own but I don't wan't to take the chance with the amount sharp money coming in on Memphis.
