nropp11 and covers

We have actual, legitimate people who are good dudes who post on this site and give their time, insight, knowledge, and experience to others in the hopes of helping other people. Far too many to call out in one place. According to a thread in the GD, one of those good dues (nropp11) has passed away. He was one of the best analysts on this board hands down, had been for years. 

 

Covers has guys like him.... and then they shove fake fucking people like SJP down our throat. Call out SJP for touting a website, and your thread gets buried -- not deleted mind you, you can still post in it, but it won't be showing up in the penalty box anytime soon.

 

I don't know about you guys, but if the Covers environment were such that it could attract more quality posters like nropp11 as opposed to manufacturing and pimping fake posters like SJP (and then playing Army Ranger to anyone who dares criticize the sacred cow), they would be gaining new members hand over fist. People can see through SJP's BS, especially when you put it side by side with the legit skills shown by nropp11.

I know objectively you are probably right KS -- I mean I understand that covers has to generate funds in order to sustain itself as a business model, and the best way of doing that is through advertising. Just been a rough couple of months for Covers with the BetEd saga and then SJP at the same time.

Neil was a class guy, who added alot to this forum. He will be greatly missed.

I agree with you kaponofor that this place has changed alot since I became a member in 2006. Covers needs to really address these issues, and crack down on all of these POS creating new accounts daily.

caca -- I think it would be less of a problem if she were not pimped like crazy on the front page and given special protection. There's one set of rules that apply to SJP and one set that applies to everyone else. That's bound to breed some discontent and resentment, it's just pure human nature. I think part of my disgust with it is that I know the target audience they are shooting for -- and quite frankly, its the most vulnerable amongst the gambling public: the new and uneducated.

I mean there are real, true people who can help newbies get acquainted with some of the more complex aspects of capping in all sports. Why not give a guy like Vanzack, Bator, BEE, or KGC some love on the front page? Why not educate the general gambling public? I guarantee that listening to and reading guys like Vanzack, Bator, BEE, and KGC would be far, far more educational than reading about the newest SJP column.

I hear you......i guess because ive only read a couple of her threads...the situation doesnt bother me as much.....i just try to play fuck fuck with her sometimes to get a reaction, unfortunetly she ignors me a lot (angry face)

Now as far as the newbies go~ fuck most them....now obviously there are always going to be exceptions but there the ones in here looking for instant gratification and handouts, putting in no work while trying to make a quick buck......riding nuts during winning streaks but the first to break balls during droughts....

Exactly...and it's working.  Pardon the expression...but she is like a rock star on this site.  People love her, some people hate her...but in the end she generates a ton of attention.  I think the constant bitching about her (not directed toward you kapono) is more annoying then her threads.  Way too many people on here worry about shit that can't control or quite frankly is none of their business anyway.  People feed right into all the drama...but I guess that's what makes this place entertaining for some people.

Hope it's not true about nropp...but starting to sound like a good possibility.

You guys are probably right. I don't know exactly why it pisses me off, but it does. I don't like deception and this is clear deception.

    Much respect, Kapbut caca's probably right about just ignoring her nonsense.  It's actually been better around here the last few days, without having here thread's pop to the top of page #1 all day.  Back to the loss of NRoop.  All around class act, solid capper, and probably a great family guy.  We're all probably being a little selfish saying we'll miss his insight, when in fact, his family and true close friends are ripped apart with his loss.  Hopefully the Covers community, all of us, can find a way to help his family, through some sort of fund, to off set expenses and loss of income.  Waiting for some of his closer friends around here to come up with something.  Who knows, maybe Weebs, or one of the other Mods will get to Lou and Rizz and have Covers organize something.  For now though, all we can do is keep his loved ones in our prayers.  BOL my friend.

Wow!!!  That truly says it all. The simple fact is she is sending them down the road of ruin and most likely quite quickly. While there more likely to stay around the forum longer under the guidance of a veteran poster, therby increasing the likelihood of more revenue long term for the website.

Follow SJP- your here a month or two.
