NCAA FOOTBALL Week 2 (13-5-1 YTD 72.222%)

ECU might be seeing a lower total bc of FAU being on nat'l tv and struggling vs Miami on offense. BUT, they should have an easier time vs a putrid ECU defense. Each team should have 450+ yds and ill bet 8 TD's are scored at minimum. 42-22 ECU rolls but FAU competes. 

This was on his website: Guys, I'll tell you. I can't wrap my mind around how to play the 20-20.5 points on this game. There's too much to think through following week 1. FAU got slapped by Miami - who I think is probably pretty talented this year. I saw the FAU receivers drop a few passes that I think would have probably resulted in 6. Also, on defense, it wasn't like FAU didn't have the talent to be on the field with Miami. Schematically, they were in the wrong places, coming out of their lanes on defense, missing assignments - but those are correctable mistakes. FAU has some talent and they'll be rotating QB's again tonight. 

ECU on the other hand played ODU. ODU marched up and down the field on the Pirates. The defense was horrible on both sides. I don't know what to think of this Pirate team. 

So for those reasons, I'm not touching the line on this game. I WILL, however, be playing the OVER 54.5. ECU is going to put up points this year. The offense, I think, is really that good. At home over the past 2 games, ECU QB Shane Carden has been a machine (Marshall/ODU) - going 84-of-101 (83.2%) for nearly 900 yards and 8 TDs. This kid is really rolling in this offense, he's a gamer. I'm expecting him to come out swinging on national TV tonight against these Owls.

Then you've got the ECU defense. I think they're bad. I want to say that ODU's QB is the second coming of Joe Flacco, but I really just think the Pirates are weak on that side of the football. They were not able to get any pressure on the QB last week and they were going up against an FCS level recruited offensive line. I think that kid from ODU threw for about 400 yards or something absurd - I don't care to look it up. What I do know is that they punted like twice and that wasn't until the 4th quarter. 

Until ECU can show me that they can stop someone on defense, the OVER is going to be a play for me.

Jdn, I like your card but can you help me understand the wake forest play? I looked into the game and tried to find an edge either way. Wake has a good quarterback in Price and campanaro will be back for the game, but I'm obviously missing something. Care to enlighten me?

I was going to play the +20.5 b/c ECU only beat OD by 14. I think the Miami game may have benefited FAU a little better that OD did for ECU.

Heck, maybe ill play them both but I know that's usually a tough hit.

You cant find that line anywhere anymore... It was simply put too low by the bookies and people punished them, hence it is around -28 now.

Thanks jdnmoney. I'm sorry if it was already posted somewhere. I appreciate the fact that you can respond to my question without an insult, which is more than I can say for some people. This is just the type of thing that makes sports forums unpleasant. There are just so many rude people in these forums that jump at the chance to insult others. Anyways, I'm glad you got such a good line and the reason I was asking was not because I doubted you, but to take a look at that sportsbook myself.
