Eyeballing the Raps Knicks game:

Often times a team will rally around their fallen superstar the next game after his injury and play well above their capabilities, as a tribute to their fallen teammate...you would expect the Unicorn to be their biggest and loudest cheerleader tonight on the bench and in their timeout huddles...however the Raps look like a team possessed at home right now, line is OTB and i would assume it will be around -12....thinking Knicks 1st Q is the play here, then Raps either ingame after the 1st Q, or at halftime.

Fellas, BigD, what do you think? Ive been pretty much spot on with my Raps reads latetly...i dont want to look at this spot thru biased lenses....i also think the under could be the correct side, as the Knicks offense might be really lost tonight without KP

Just stopped by to say hello, good , and informative thread, why post in the PB? very obscure place to run a NBA thread containing  so much value..just saying.... I recommend you stay "spot on" with your Raps, (at least for tonight's game) @ 22-4 TOR sports the best home court WIN % in the NBA..with Porzingis, or without him in the line up, the Raps get the heavy lean in this spot...(his absence ignites nothing that handicaps a NYK WIN) TOR ML is the play

SportsN...thanks for the positive feedback regarding this thread...BigD, the peoples champ, and all our regular fellas here appreciate to know our efforts here are being noticed.
Something this good, would be poisoned by trolls and clueless rookies if this thread was in the mains...better to stay here under the radar where only serious knowledgable cappers hang out for constructive hoops chat....plus if this thread was in the mains, BigD and the peoples champ would most likely be banned for posting too many free winners.

PB. The raps like to play down to the competition and now you have star player out angle. I think 13 is just too much.

I agree...Raps may just be looking to wrap up this homestand with a basic victory without too much flair, and enjoy the next few days off until Sunday...next man up theory for the Knicks in effect here, perhaps Hardaway Jr goes off for 35+ and keeps this game relatively close...plus there's always a backdoor 4th Q garbage time possibility when a line is -14 in a potential blowout scenario...I will be hoping to get +15 before tipoff, as I can't imagine the line will go down any between now and then...taking the Knicks here is not going to be a very popular choice

Raps typically don't cover these inflated lines historically from all my years following them...when they do win by 15+, it's usually because they overperformed or overachieved and remained hot for an entire game....but now to be expected to cover 14, that's a whole different ball game...and believe me, this team and coaching staff do not care about pointspreads and covering lines in the 4th Q, they will always play their entire bench all the way down to the towel and water boys.

Can't believe i'm talking myself into betting a unicornless Knicks team tonight

I know you love your props Dirk...i will always cheer and root for you, but its something i cant get involved with...however if ever there was a strong lean i would definitely say over 17.5....thus he will end up with 9pts and get ejected for ref abuse in the 3rd Q during a 20pt blowout

Bryant +17.5....classic first vs worst matchup with an overly inflated line...first half will be surprising close like 28-25, then Bryant will hold on in the 2nd to cover, losing by around 12-15...thats what the script says

that line is from Bovada.  My local only offers a prop on Courtney Lee which I wouldn't touch with your Canadian Money.  I am NOT taking the Hardaway line just pointing it out.  So, that said, he will go for 32  8  and 7

Under 217   Thunder vs Lakers -  OKC has some questionable players tonight and LA just traded away 2 big pieces.  I could see this being a feeling out type of game.  OKC off emotional win could mail this one in.  Also eyeing under 110 TT Thunder.

Mental note:

Dont expect bad teams to do good things just because you think they will cover the spread on a particular random game...they are bad for a lot of reasons...last time i take Bryant and Knicks this season.

Nuggets +3 1st Q, and +8.5 full game...1st game back at home for Rockets after a road trip...they could be sluggish early, while Denver will look to play mich better here than last time...dare i even suggest ML dog here is live at +315 (rare 1st Q play for me this season, so expect Houston to win 1st Q by 15pts )
