i believe without a shadow of a doubt shady sh_t is going down. Penalties called at the most crucial times, and the worst is all officials wearing ear pieces ! Too much keeping the game close. Is it just me or do all these  games going down to  the last minute seem to be happening a little too oftn ?

The NFL is a private business so it is entirely legal for it to pre-determine the outcome of its games, just as the WWE does. Ultimately, it need be no different than a scripted television series or movie.

That actually applies to all sports leagues even the NCAA. It is perfectly legal for any league to script activity in the game, the way the officials call the game, and the outcome of the game to increase interest and/or revenue as long as it is not done for bribery or for gambling (but just try and prove that it was done for gambling & not for ratings). All league employees including players sign NDA's preventing them from talking about it publicly.

Everyone should be aware that any sporting event can legally be, and regularly is scripted.

I agree without any doubt that at the owners meetings they decide the script that will make their sport most entertaining for us knuckle heads. The only reason they don’t come out and say it’s like WWE is because of the money in gambling. If it wasn’t scripted the contracts would not be so high. As for the injury’s during games. Accidents happen in any job. Even Wrestling! Its their job to entertain us. Villains, feel good story’s, the good, bad and ugly. Owners make their money off this shit. I know it’s scripted but I love watching it! It’s a male soap opera! I love all the drama with trades this year. Scripted like a true tv show
