(I, Fubah2, absolutely agree with that statement as written. Freedoms are critically important
and freedom of expression is one of the most important. Censorship has its rightful place in
some key areas, yes. But we must be cautious in its use.
However, private ownership is another protected freedom.
For example, does one have the right from "freedom of expression"
to erect large signs on YOUR FRONT LAWN which call you a child molestor?
Assuming the "freedom of expression" guy is not shot while doing so, the homeowner has
every right to remove those signs, and take necessary actions to prevent further incursions
on his private property.
So it is with most privately owned website and social media companies ("big tech")

Further, what Americans may or may not not want with regard to filtering of what
they read and hear is an entirely Blackburn's opinion. I can just as easily say:
Americans do not want LIES or malfeasant misinformation on big tech either.
I submit the latter is more strongly supported than the former.
Lying while under oath is a criminal offense. And very serious.
And yet we seem to think LYING on social media or other "big tech"
(tv networks, or websites like Gateway Pundit) is supposedly just fine.
Morally it shouldn't be so.
But when on a PRIVATE platform, what they choose to display or NOT DISPLAY
is their right under the law and that right needs to be respected.
Fox News staffers thought Newsmax was a joke.

Fox News is taking action to stave off newfound competition from Newsmax TV.
Producers on some Fox programs have been told to monitor Newsmax's guest
bookings and throw some sand in Newsmax's gears by encouraging guests who
appear on both channels to stop saying yes to the upstart.
According to Fox sources, producers were told to avoid some regular guests if
they kept showing up on Newsmax after being encouraged to stop.
Management's goal: to remind guests who's boss in the right-wing media world.

New York (CNN Business)Larry Kudlow is being tapped to revitalize Fox Business Network
in the afternoons.
Kudlow is taking over the channel's 4 p.m. hour starting February 16.
His unnamed show will re-air at 7 p.m., which means he is partially replacing Lou Dobbs,
whose 5 p.m. talk show reaired at 7.
On Friday Fox abruptly cancelled "Lou Dobbs Tonight" and named two interim anchors for the time slot.
But Kudlow will have his hosting work cut out for him.
Fox Business is the much lower-rated sibling of Fox News.
Dobbs was the most popular host, but he only averaged 300,000 viewers a day at 5 p.m.
Fox Business has been pinched by competition from Newsmax too —
that channel averaged 320,000 on Thursday afternoon.
The business-oriented program on Fox News, "Your World with Neil Cavuto," averaged 1.1 million.
Both CNN and MSNBC had upwards of 2 million viewers for the hour.
