He's not going to kill him- You guys don't really understand books and bookmaking- I grew up in Chicago... Despite what people think and how many dumb movies and gangster tv documentaries they watch, books don't kill bettors... He'll cut him off and ask for a small amount every week until the debt is paid off, and if he misses a payment or two he'll just ask for it next time he see's him. Back in the day I stiffed a lot of books in a lot of cities, and I have been stiffed...Tell your friend that nobody's going to risk being locked in a cage for the rest of their lives because of your $2000 debt

You make the assumption this fake story is being told somewhere in North America....but what if its in a less civilized part of the world...bookies can be vicious and not paying them can result in various extreme consequences...including death...a bookie needs to always show strength to instill fear into future people who think to stiff them.
So...i hear you used to stiff people back in the day...youre a real class act...bad karma has probably followed you like an awful homeless person stench your entire life.
