Any Suggestions for Making a Good Potato Salad?

I have to whip up a big batch of potato salad for a potluck tomorrow.  Any secrets to enhancing the flavor or how to cook it.  I know there are a lot of wannabe chefs in here; any secret ingredients you can inject into it?  Thanks for your help!

Ive got the mayo, I was thinking about using spicy brown mustard.  Any other ideas?  Im boiling eggs and I usually use chopped up pickles instead of celery.

Brown mustard would make the color too dark...a real dijon will be more than enough as far a spicy goes. Fresh dill is always a nice touch as well.

Forget the mayo and mustard.  Use sour cream and don't mix that shit in till the taters are almost cooled off.  White pepper is your friend.

Cold taters won't soak up the sauce as well...Sour Cream is nice, but it isn't Potato Salad. No where near as much flavor as mustard and mayo.

Thanks for advice guys.  Im boiling the potatos in salt water as I think that helps enhance the flavor.  Keep it coming.

JWK is right.
 
Sour Cream and dill is the way to go with some mayo.  This is the secret to a good potatoe salad that is not just your run of the mill mustad based potato salad.

Old Fashion Bavarian Potato Salad
by Gerda Garcia 

5 pounds potatoes
1 small onion, chopped 
½ cup Rapso Canola Oil
1/3 cup vinegar
1 ½ cups warm beef broth
1 Tablespoon salt
½ Tablespoon pepper

Boil or steam the potatoes.  When the potatoes have cooled down, peel them and slice them.  Add the onions, salt, pepper, oil and vinegar.  Then add the hot beef broth, you mix all this together and you have an old fashioned Bavarian potato salad.

What does CBB have to do with Potato Dalad??? Right now I'm 11-4 on totals, and 5-3 on sides....I think you need to relax....could help with your maturation.
