Intxausti couldn't stay at the front, he's way back finishing 129th !

Went 0-3 -9 units, another bad day.

    Overall :30-37 -26.2 units

It's probably my 3r or 4th losing day in row, nothing looks positive.  Stage 20 will probably be my last betting stage before the WC.

I hope Sanchez could win it

Time Trial. Interesting to see what the lines are.

Evans, Sanchez or Millar will win the time trial. I like Millar but I wait for the price.

Millar to win is looking good.

Millar over Sanchez and Evans over Kiriyenka has some good parlay potential.

    Going all out here:

    8 units Millar @ $2.80
    5 units Millar over Sanchez @ $1.57
    5 units Basso over Cobo @ $2.10
    3 units Zubeldia over Rabon @ $2.15

Millar is rested up, finished in the second last group last night.

Millar beat Sanchez by 15 odd seconds in first time trial.
Basso beat Cobo by 10 seconds
Zubeldia beat Rabon by 12 seconds.

Good enough for me to take at those odds.

    Top 10

10 units Tadej Valjavec @ $1.68 - He wants a top five. Ag2r are on a roll. Considering my explanations above in regards to the world's, he is a solid bet to do this.
1 unit Jose Angel Gomez Marchante @ $4 - Cervelo's leader. I can see him go close to a top 10. This price I'll happily take him at.

    Overall H2H

6 units Jose Angel Gomez Marchante over Tom Danielson @ $1.86 - Is this a joke? Danielson is washed up. Will be riding for Martin.
8 units Valjavec over Fuglsang @ $1.86 - Thank you, I'll take this price.
4 units Moncoutie to win KOM @ $4.50

1 unit David De La Fuente @ $19

Lost Sanchez for the win. He came second
Lost the two top 10’s. – Marchante in 22nd position. Valjavec in 30th position.

Gomez Marchante finished in 22nd position. Danielson abandoned.
Valjavec finished 30th. 53.34 behind, Fuglsang finished 56th. 1 hour and 28 minutes behind

Moncoutie won the KOM jersey. 186 points. De La Fuente was second on 99 points. – So my predictions there were spot on. I wish I used my brain and jumped on Moncoutie when he was around 7’s.

    +10.04 for the futures.

So far +41.21 for the Vuelta.

    Stage 1: no bet
    Stage 2: +4.85 units
    Stage 3: -10 units
    Stage 4: +42.39 units
    Stage 5: -2.2 units
    Stage 6: +1.2 units

    Stage 16: +5.9 units
    Stage 17: -12.6 units
    Stage 18: -1.1 units
    Stage 19: +10.76 units
    Stage 20: +14.75 units
    Stage 21: ????
    Futures: +10.04

    Overall: +41.21 units

As you can see, I was very close on a few occasions and I've turned around the year. If you followed me the last few months and you lost, sorry. If you followed me now, you're laughing. If you only just started following me, you're laughing.

Eli - have you been tailing us? The write-up I did for the time trial tonight was spot on. Hope that helped people make a decision.

At this stage, I may not place a bet tomorrow. But stuff it, I'm quite happy ending with 30 units in the positive. So I may just throw 11 units on Greipel to win and see if I can crack 50.

I've learnt a lot this year with cycling compared to other years. Cycling has changed over the past 24 months, it is getting a bit cleaner, you can tell.

Bet live and stick with head to heads.

Next year will be even better.

What I mean by it getting cleaner is 2 years ago, on mountain stages, the GC riders would battle it out nearly every time. Now they let breaks go a bit more often hence why it's getting hard to cap unless you focus on head to heads and do live betting.

Hey Bolar - great stuff. A well deserved 40 unit profit race.

Jumped in today with some of the h2h but was hesitant to back Millar at a price I found somewhat low. Stupid decision of course.

Overall, I think you did a great job of balancing the plays and handling the risk/reward dilemma that often occurs when trying to choose winners amongst a large group of participants.

You said it best. Stick to the winning strategy and don't be tempted to cash in on a big play that depends only on a very specific result. I always thought cycling was a boring sport with a group of men going on a Sunday stroll but I've been convinced otherwise.

These guys are unbelievable athletes ( hoping most of them are CLEARN ) and the sport is as exciting to watch and follow than any other kind of racing. I'm sure you guys will progress in a positive direction by adjusting the capping to the new trends you pick up and can profit by making use of your knowledge and instict. I'm still a follower and "bottom-feeder" for now but, who knows, maybe one day!  Once again, thanks for coming in here and sharing your picks on Covers and here's to a successful season next year.

50 seconds later Greipel took the win. Bennati was supposed to win it, he had a perfect lead-out, can't understand what happen there.

You won all of your bets, well done.

This ends on a high. Therefore:

    Stage 1: no bet
    Stage 2: +4.85 units
    Stage 3: -10 units
    Stage 4: +42.39 units
    Stage 5: -2.2 units

    Stage 19: +10.76 units
    Stage 20: +14.75 units
    Stage 21: +12.11 units
    Futures: +10.04

    Overall: +53.32

I cracked the 50 unit mark. I was close to there when Greipel came home 26-1 earlier in the tour.

As you can see, I won less than half the stages, so I'm not that consistent but if you look at my losses, you can see that I was close to the money on numerous occasions.

Hopefully I can ride the form over the last few days into the worlds. If I can, you blokes are going to get rich.

Nick, I'm with you. i didn't think Greipel would win hence why i didn't back him. But he proves he is the strongest from that field.

The bad days were terrible, I lost too much money. It has been nice to watch but hard to predict. I will forward to the TT on the 24th and the road race on the 27th.

They will end my cycling betting season.

I know I could do much better anyway, Bolar you did an handsome job
