I agree with JT. I may be a 'purist', but for me Test cricket is and will be the holy grail.

Would you rather win the ashes (or a Test series in India) or a fucking hit and giggle tournament?

One of the things Ricky has done well is promote Test cricket - IMO more than any other world captain has done.

The Paki's are just fucking comical at the moment. It wouldn't matter what format we played them in, they'd get smashed.

 

I think the Windies ODI's will be far more competitive.

 

And to be fair, look at who we have played this summer....

Good hit on the Aussie's

They have now won 19 of their last 22 ODI's at an average match start price taken from BF of 1.67 during that time. Only one of those 22 have been versus a current minow (had one vs NZ).

Thats a pretty special record given the fickle nature of ODI cricket.

And, imo no "final ball" ODI or 400+ run 20/20 will ever get near any of those amazing test matches that we all remember
