I have never heard a ref. call a players name before

From 0-2 I knew we had em right where we wanted em.

You could see the ref was pissed at someone the way he waved it off. When he waved it off while near the scorers box he was looking at someone on the ice and looked pissed off. They most likely cursed at the ref and pissed him off.

I guess the Blazers were the WHA's version of the Flames.

I guess the Blazers were first. I remember the Ice cracked in thier first home game back in Philly and it went downhill from there. We had alot of good hockey in Philly back then. Philadelphia Firebirds in the 1970's as well.

I love this photo with Parent in his Blazers mask.

I met Parent during a practice at the Spectrum in Philly. He was awesome to us kids. We stood by the glass at the blueline and he skated right over to us as we leaned over the glass(low back then). He shook my hand, I patted him on the back and chatted with him a few seconds.

The other time I met him was at the 1st Parade when they were in open cars. I almost got run over cause the crowd was pushing so hard. The car handle scratched the shit outta my stomach but I did not care. We slapped hands as his car passed us.

Awesome memories.
