The loss to the Predators occurred after the Hurricanes returned home from a West coast road trip and had only one day of rest. The second loss occurred in the final week of the season when the Hurricanes had nothing to play for and dumped 7 of their last 8 regular season games.
The lone play in the playoffs was an easy 4-0 winner over the Capitals.
The Hurricanes tonight are returning from a long 6-game trip through the West, but they have had two days rest to recharge. Meanwhile the Golden Knights offense has vanished on this road trip, losing to the Panthers 3-0 on Saturday and losing to the Lightning 2-1 on Sunday.
