Bruins Team Total Over 2.5, -103
Bruins/Avalanche Over 5.5, +112: I realize pre-season is pre-season, but an average of 7
goals were scored in Colorado games, and an average of 6 in Boston games. Not only that, but I don’t have
much confidence in Budaj. Colorado might have to consider going after
Khabibulin as I can’t imagine the duo of Raycroft and Budaj scaring anyone.
Leafs/Red Wings Over 5.5, +112: This is another total that I see good
value in. Wilson is preaching defense first, but who’s kidding whom? These
are the returning Stanley Cup champs. The Wings will be fired up for this one
as they’ll be raising the banner before the game. The Leafs will be fired up
too. Instead of having his team wait in the dressing room until the ceremonies
are over, Wilson will have his team on the ice in the hopes of inspiring
them. That’d be enough to get ME riled. This is Schenn’s first regular season
game.He’s still green so I see him
making some mistakes. Beyond that, the Leafs defense looks like this…Kaberle,
Kubina, Colaiacovo, Van Ryn, Frogren. (Finger will miss the 1st 10
days or so). Sigh…it’s going to be a long season here in Leaf-land. A 4-2 final
seems likely to me. An average of 7.9 goals were scored in Leaf pre-season games with the opposition scoring 4.3/game.

hollister I can't stand Hollweg. Hope he get suspended all season. The signing of Mayers baffles me. By the time the Leafs will have done 2-3 years of rebuilding, he'll be gone. leaffan bones jrock saberjake

I actually like Mayers... from watching him on the dish the last few seasons he seems like a good team guy, willing to stand up for the boys, and is also decent in his own end.
Now Hollweg, I agree... although the league needs more gritty guys, he is a idiot that takes dumb penalties. I really think the Leafs need to pick up Josh Gratton or Jesse Boulerice to add some muscle.
