I have 2 books, one has US at +101 andn CA at -137 ov 5-140, the other has -120 ov 5.5 +120 for both teams. What is everyone thinking / wagering? Anybody?
Don't need any fanboy posts if you say US just because your in the US, same for CA - just looking for some capping insight. I lean US and over 5.5 +120, more so to the over, thinking empty netters could get it? Good luck no matter your play.

Thought the US got Prelim bracket that was easiest of all three, and then they struggled a bit with the Swedes in the Semi's. The Canadians struggled with Czechs in their Q4 finals rematch and then got the 3rd best team in the World in the Fins in the Semi's and survived on that late goal.
Picking Canada, b/c US has not faced a team yet with remotely the firepower the Habs bring, and Habs have been in 2 tight games in knockouts vs US in 1. US off the comfy big win may also have them over-confident, so 1P goal for Canada is going to be on my ticket for tomorrow as well.
Good luck - and I am in same boat as Monte in a win win just on the opposite...

Canada favoured as a PK in regulation at -130 and the Over 5 is even at -100. Over 4.5 only -143. Both total lines seem to good to be true given the 2 teams playing.
I like to wait closer to puck drop to see where the line ends up or if it will remain the same. That being said when I see a line like that I think this game is low scoring with possibly a 2 to 0 final going either way. Or much like the Women's game 1 to 1 going to OT.
If you like the USA I think the best strategy is to bet live with the idea that they will not score first. Canada will not want to start slow out of the gate so I do believe they will score first. Than you will get a way better price on the USA. USA could even go down 2 and still be live. In the event that USA does score first than see what price you can get live with them being up 1 already. You might still get -1.5 at a good price or -2 at an even better price. My feeling is if the USA does score first I don't think Canada will have 3 straight come from behind wins.
I like the USA to win but am not sure how I will approach it.

Just some thoughts for now....
This is what I'm seeing at Pinnacle right now

I was kind of surprised to see Canada favored seeing -130 this morning. If Crosby can't play and especially up to his standards that is obviously a huge loss for Canada. He is their true leader and so good in the faceoff circle and his experience in these situations can't be touched by anyone else. I think Canada (with Crosby) has the better overall forwards and the 3 best players in the world. USA has a stronger D core with Quinn Hughes being a close 2nd to Makar as far as talent and dominating a game goes. Goaltending well it's closer than most think especially in "The Big Game" Helly hasn't won anything and has looked shaky before in these situations. Binnington (can't stand the prick) has won a cup and always seems to rise to the occasion.
With all the firepower here in this game I can't see how this game stays under 5.5 and I am getting it at +105 so will probably make a play on that and just sit back and enjoy what should be a classic matchup of two incredible teams. As mentioned above live plays will definitely be an option.
Good Luck!
You learn more from losing than winning. You learn how to keep going.

Im canadian. Take the americans. Canadian team is running on fumes, theyre injured, and they left a lot of young skilled game breaking talent at home in favour of experiended old grinders. In best on best this leaves no margin for error in case of key injuries to crosby and morrissey. Even mackinnon is battling something. Marchand still nursing something too.
Canada offense is a 1 line team now bcuz they left Bedard, Scheifele and Wyatt Johnston at home.
On defense sans Makar, no puck movers which will hurt vs USA.
They left Schaefer, Chychrun, Bouchard and Dobson at home in favour of old pylons.
take the USA ML. I am.

I really think this game comes down to Connor vs. Connor. When they are locked in they are the 2 best players in the world. I know some will say different positions. Can not compare etc. The reality is they are the most important players on the ice in this game.
