the league needs to change that "kicked in" rule

Question

Wednesday in the Blackhawks @ Ducks games one of the Bhawk players directed in a goal off the side of his skate BUT because his foot was moving towards the goal it was a "NO GOAL".

I don't THINK that is the intention of the rule. it's to prevent injury from someone taking a football "extra point" style kick at the puck. the freeking league is DYING from lack of SCORING and these idiots are disallowing goals?

btw, I didn't have a side in the game SO it's NOT about the Bhawks losing.

I agree but mostly because a goals a goal. They aren&#x27;t picking it up and throwing it in the net.. but then again this is the NHL and they have their reasons as retarded as many of them are.

IMO, kicking should be ruled on when there&#x27;s a backlift of the lower leg. A straight motion forward by the foot/lower leg without any backlift shouldn&#x27;t be overruled. While this may seem a minor point, you can get very little power from a kick without any backlift &amp; it&#x27;s difficult to keep your balance if you do try to generate any sort of power from sucha restricted movement, so allowing or *promoting* the idea it&#x27;s permissible wouldn&#x27;t be sending any negative message (re injury fears) out there.

would you rather hockey be turned into HAND ball? look what they did at the beginning of this season with the touch hand = penalty. now they have slowed down on that crap. only seen one hand on puck penalty in a few days now. thats right hand ON puck..not hand COVERING puck which is the actual rule. they have also slowed down a bit on the goalie interference crap where goalie isnt even touched and player gets a penalty and no goal.

they rules are changing...you'll see a big change next season as well with rules.
