Practically every trend in my database favors the Canadians to win game 7. The only question remains, how will they respond after having blown that 3-1 lead in game 6. I'll take my chances. Give Me

As for the total. It is hard to understand why the oddsmakers put up such a low number on this game 5.5? After what we have witnessed so far in this series. It seems like they are begging you to take the Over. Traditionally game 7's are played tightly. Nobody wants to make a mistake that will cause a team to give up an easy goal. But, a few of my friends who are very sharp didn't care and did bet the Over. I'm going to stay on the sidelines for that wager.

I had a super positive experience posting a play last night in the NBA forum. Hopefully we can mimic that experience here as well.

I hedged back a unit after the 3rd period - 125 with the Sabres. They have all the momentum. I still need the Canadians but for only for 1/2 Unit. 

Off by 1 goal. I'll take it.

Montreal certainly didn't deserve to win tonight's game. They were outplayed for most of the game But, I'll gladly take a 1/2 profit. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. Tonight I was mostly lucky. Not only in the NHL but in the NBA as well. I can't help but remember what a great handicapper that I met when I was just a teenager told me. When one side of a bet you are thinking of making seems almost too good to be true. Think Buffalo will win the overtime judging by what had happened in period 2 & 3. And the oddsmaker's posting a 5.5 total on a game that seems like it should be at the very least a 6 flat. The too good to be true IS too good to be true. The overtime line open at Buffalo -120 = It closed at Buffalo - 140. Most of the public got destroyed by betting the Sabres. I lost a Unit back but still showed a profit on the game.

I was about to pull the trigger on Buffalo -120 in OT, as they were dominating pretty much since the 2nd period.  went to put the bet in it game goes offline.  Newhook scored to end it.

Got lucky there didn't see that coming .  I imagine a lot of live bets were on the Swords the way they were playing.

This Habs team looks gassed.  Carolina should have no problem next round.  Thinking Canes in 5.  

As far as the total yeah it looked low.  But game 7 = less penalties being called.  That's always baked into the line.  I believe there were only 2 PPs one for Habs and one for Sabres.  That's how line was 5.5 

I did have the over but I also parlayed over 4.5 with Rays +1.5 in bases

I got it, but in the new era of "Pull your goalie with 31/2 minutes to go in the 3rd period" if you're down by 1 goal strategy. Putting up a 5.5 was very ballsy by the oddsmakers. We have to give them credit. Also, game 7's have actually gone over in recent years. 

Nothing wrong with buying back a bit , anytime  you can win money on any day .
