Sixteen straight conference finals losses AND back-to-back sweeps isn’t going to sound good for the Hurricanes, but now that I’ve quickly lost this large bet, I hope it happens to them.

Completely agree. Even if he doesn't allow another goal, I'm not so sure a goalie change in 2nd period is a bad idea. A fire needs to be lit not only under Andersen, but the team as a whole.

Coach should have taken him out after two but the defense in front of him not helping either

The ref felt sorry for the overmatched home team so he gifted them a power play citing too many Panthers on the ice.
No, it only feels like there are.

People forget that the Panthers put Tkachuk on LTR and ended up getting Jones and Marchand to add to their arsenal. Both were two of Florida's best players against Toronto. They really need to change that rule going forward. Both Vegas and Tampa had success with it as well.

Start a fight or change the goalie. That is the message from Brind'Amour..
Hell, if he knew it would be this bad , he would've advised them to drop the gloves when the puck was dropped in this game.... after Gostisbehere's shooting of the puck at Marchant in GM 1.

@FloridasFinest
They had virtually the same record regular season. Tchachuck lost lots of time... so did Andersen... maybe Andersen should've missed some more tonight ?
I'll wait for your thoughtful response..

Leafs showed the weakness of Florida..SPEED.., something Canes lack compared to Leafs. That is why I am hoping for the Stars and not the Oil

@GASportsDoc
Ravens stated the Cats were steamrolling everyone else. Leafs with a 2nd choice goalie forced a game 7 which doesn't qualify as a steamrolling, but the Leafs do qualify as "everyone else".

Can't compare regular season to post season. Florida has learned from the last 3 years. It is not what you do for 82 games but what you do the in the playoffs. Go back and look at Florida and Dallas the last 2 weeks of the regular season. Hell, Buffalo had a better record. I think after what Vegas did to Florida, they learned, just get there is the bottom line. But yes, I will agree, Carolina is one of the better teams of the league, they are just not elite.

I understand what you are saying and no, Florida didn't steamroll Toronto. Florida just woke up. As for 2nd choice goalie, go look at regular season stats and they were actually equivalent: Stolarz .926/2.14 and Woll .909/2.73.

Reg. season stats aren't particularly relevant to me re the playoffs (past a certain point obviously). Stolarz has 4-1/2 years on Woll, that's what's relevant to me between the two. Maturity.
