Yup, Lippsman, I'm with ya all the way with dogs!

I had also put the damn Jets in my "Dog Doghouse", do-not-play list, but that has COST me big with my play on the damn Pens tonight with the Jets beating the Pens. *sigh*.

Not only has the damn Pens pick cost me one ML bet, it's has also cost me more than a unit of profit lost in a RR bet (5 picks, 2-teamer all-dog PL +1.5 parlay), plus a SU parlay of 5 dog PL +1.5 bets, too.

The one and only loss on both parlays was a goddamn bet on a favorite! Shit!

Never, ever will I bet on any favorite again!

Despite the one favorite bet costing me dearly in foregoing 6+ units of profit, I still made a decent profit tonight in gaining 3+ units for tonight.

Lesson learned tonight -- NEVER, EVER FUCKING BET ON FAVORITES IN NHL!

Well actually road favs are usually a good wager in the NHL.  But early this season they have been a loser for sure. Going into tonight road favs are 7-8-0-3, being a horrible 38.89%.  So if you start taking the road favs you will do quite well.  Things always even out and this will even out for sure.  I don't have a problem laying up to -135 on the road teams.  But of course don't do it blind.  Have stats back up the pick. 

You want to hear something real sick.  If you include the PL, which of course you get very good payback.  The road teams are just 20% this year, laying the -1.5.

So if you had the stones to take the +1.5 on all home dogs this year you would be raking the cash.

Actually I'm going to hit those as soon as this game is over.   Odd this stuff this year so far.  Usually the bigger faves get knocked up, but early money is hitting the dogs more heavy than past years.  I will pull the trigger on St.Louis at +129 anyway.

Thanks for those live dogs... I'll take 'em, for sure, in a three-teamer RR PL +1.5 play, plus a half-unit on a straight-up parlay on the PL +1.5.

I'll even do a three-teamer RR ML play on those live dogs, too... pending my capping on those games.

And I'll even throw a quarter-unit on a SU parlay of those dogs, too. Might as well!

like the Hurricanes +150 and Oilers +150. would do the Panthers +190 as the daily "Big Dog" BUT think they will use their backup goalie tonight in Washington.

Liking Edmonton tonight for the sheer value. Went from +150 (last night) to +165 (currently) at Pinnacle.

Not the best night, Edmonton pulling through would of been huge. But things now stand at.

Yeah, it would have been a nice payout if Oilers had hung on in the final minutes. The Oilers did the same thing to the Preds the night before, scoring some late goals for the win after trailing 1-0 for most of the game.

Anyways, Jets the underdog at +145. Any takers?

Thought about it, then had to go with the MUCH better team playing at home wanting to finish out a strong 5 game homestand 4-1 rather than 3-2 before a lengthy road trip

Went Toronto -1/2 in Reg. BOL

Another loss with the Jackets. This is the first time in years that the dogs were ran over like this.  Now this isn't just horrible, but usually at this time of the year there will be positive units.
