On Monday night at Amerant Bank Arena in Florida there'll be an energetic vocal crowd on hand to cheer on the Panthers to a game seven Stanley Cup victory over the visiting Edmonton Oilers. However by game's end, it'll be a rather somewhat somber lot as they'll witness the visitors parading around the ice surface with the coveted trophy. The Oilers are simply the better team in this series and in reality, had it not been for Bobrovsky stealing game one, Edmonton would have and should hoisted Lord Stanley on home ice in game six. Skinner has proved to be a worthy netminder, even though he hasn't been put to the task at hand too often. Edmonton's defense has shown to be a worthy lot and can be quite physical when called upon. What does stand out most is the specialty teams, where Edmonton is head and shoulders better than the Florida Panthers. Barring a miracle on Monday night in game seven, the Edmonton Oilers will prevail and bring the Stanley Cup back to Canada where it truly belongs.

You sound like an Edmonton homer fan to me.. Florida does not need a miracle to win, They simply need to win game 7. Game 6 was an Edmonton moment, that's all. What about that offside goal called back that would have made the score 2-1 did that dis-allowed goal have influence on the final outcome of that game? What about the late 2nd period goal scored by Edmonton to give them a 3-0 lead going into the 3rd period? The final score was not indicative of the play throughout that game. The Oilers held a 3-1 lead with less than 5 minutes to go in the game. The final score was padded by a couple of empty net goals that gave Edmonton the 5-1 win. It was a good win by the Oilers but it was hardly dominant. Both teams are here for game 7 because of their play through 6 games. No doubt Edmonton must be thrilled to be playing in game 7 for a chance to win the cup, but Florida still has the edge with home ice. It should be an epic game 7, with no clear favorite in my mind. By the way, why does the Stanley Cup belong in Canada?

Far from it. Actually I am a Flyer fan and proud to be one.
An Edmonton moment you say?
And what was games 4 & 5 and not to mention game one where Florida had a boatload of horseshoes up their behinds? The cream has risen to the top and will settle in Alberta on Monday evening.
As for the question of why Lord Stanley belongs in Canada, that's where the majority of the great players reside and it's only fitting the greatest trophy in the world belongs with the great players.

Edmonton has definitely figured out how to play the Panthers. However, it still comes down to 1 game - a coin flip. And Panthers outplayed EDM in Game 5 for the most part. Should be a good one.

I just think the Oilers found something. The Panthers can’t get a forecheck going since game 3. Edmonton has made great adjustments. Great coaching. What the Panthers have to worry about is they lost 5 to 1 game 6 and the best player on the planet had zero points as well.

Yeah man you’re absolutely right. What about all the goals the Oilers have scored in this series. Better yet what about all the goals that all of the winning teams have ever scored combined in the history of the NHL. Imagine none of those teams ever scored a single goal. What would the results have been? That is some hard hitting analysis right there.
You sir are the Wayne Gretzky of cappers on this forum. Well, unless Gretzky never recorded a single goal or assist in his career ever.
