Avalanche have a chance to be only the 4th team to do it.

Only once in the modern times.

3 times it happened and 2 times the team won the cup. But that was Montreal before the 50s.

And the other was the Bruins who lost to the team who won the cup.

Either you are a truly dominant team or it takes a special team to beat you which would make sense why that team would win the cup.

 Canes only team with a shot to catch GF, but they are resting starters so doubt it.  Avs to win West still plus money...

Definitely rooting for Avs to at least get there to the finals. If they lose I am backing whoever beats them 

Looking good. Hard to see Ducks or Knights beating them.
