thanks guys it was a bad beat pretty much by definition - right down to the completely senseless 5th goal with a minute or two left and the game decided... however, when you parlay you are prepared to lose more often that you win, especially at +400 or more lol...

wtf was that... stuff like that almost never happens in such a one-sided manner.  I've been on plenty of late under losses when the game became a shootout in the third but a pile on like that against an allegedly first rank goalie is rare indeed.

Never served myself but having military lineage in my family. Their stories have touched me. There r days where I just smack myself upside the head figuratively and just pause. We are oh so so lucky. It's funny but in my years teaching history the World Wars always attracted the greatest interest from students... many were even moved to tears reading war letters, poetry etc.  I really just think it depends on the person.  You either "get it" or you don't.  Some people just have not a hint of empathy for others and live life with a grand sense of entitlement.  Hard to reach people who only think about themselves.

Yup, there are two kinds of people when it comes to entitlement.  Just like there are two types of people when it comes to phoneys (don't get me started).  The world can be broken down into good and bad (or more accurately virtuous or non-virtuous in an Aristotilian sense) in so many categories.
